Just a couple small questions about Maxwell

Despite Maxwell being the character I use the most there's still a few small questions I have about him.

What is Maxwell's sanity regeneration in DST? (It's certainly not enough to break even with the night armor like I wish it was)

What's the health of the puppets? (75?)

What's the damage of the duelist puppets?

shadow duelist have 75 hp that regens 2 hp over a few seconds.

workers have 1 hp so one hit and they're dead.

I think it might be tam'o'shanter level?

I don't think the sanity gain nerf is really bad, if anything it helps with farming nightmare fuel if you're alone.

If I remember correctly 35 damage but I could be wrong.

Also helpful tip, Maxwell can read Wickerbottom's books so that helps if you wanna spam horticulture but don't want the Wicker player to have to get sanity regen items. Sorry if you already know this, most Wicker and Maxwell players don't know.

Thanks for the info. And yeah, I knew about Maxwell's ability to use Wicker's books. It's just not something I'm able to use much because I don't really see very many Wickerbottoms. Kinda surprising actually considering how useful her books are.

Although I still wish the sanity regen would at least break even with a night armor. I've found that Maxwell kinda relies heavily on the night armor due to his lower hp. The sanity nerf isn't all that bad but it really becomes a bit of a problem in prolonged fights while wearing night armor. But then again I usually pair it with a night sword too so it likely wouldn't be too bad if I used a different weapon.

It's also nice to know that the duelists are still pretty bad in not just the staying alive part, but damage wise too. I think it would be neat if you could equip them with weapons and armor yourself. If they still used up the durability of the equipment you give them like a player would (and would default back to their unbreakable weapons if they broke) then I can see that being a balanced way to make them stronger (and actually usable).

Eh I just use football helms or battle helms for armor whenever I play Maxwell since the double armor thing only helps with durability, but if you need something that isn't too draining of sanity try thulecite crowns.

I kind of wish the duelist had infinite night armor since they're single target, low damage, and have pretty bad AI, I have heard however that they aren't targeted by the dragonfly so that's a plus.

I'm not too big on using thulecite. Sure it's really good, but once it's gone, it's gone. Yeah, I know you can duplicate it at the cost of green gems, but those aren't too easy to obtain as well. I think the real problem is actually me abusing the dark sword in addition to the night armor.

I thought just giving duelists 95% damage reduction right out of the box (errr... book?) might be a little too powerful. Thus came the idea of giving them equipment instead. That way you could give the puppets night armor for that 95% damage reduction and the balance here would come at the material cost of the night armor.

Rezecib made a mod doing something similar. However it comes with a variety of other tweaks.

Oh, I had forgotten all about that. Still, Maxwell's shadow duelists in vanilla DST are in need of some kind of buff.

yeah they're pretty much the singleplayer minions, outside of pvp. as in, you never summon them save for going insane. (in pvp i did hear they're much better though)
