Prakhar
Hello everyone! I recently manned up and tried to make a permanent living in the caves as wigfrid after 200 days of turtling (in RoG). Anyways, i chose a good spot near the lobsters, swamp, batilisks, light flowers and bunnymen (no slurtles though). I built the usual stuff, but i am afraid to build bee boxes since some sources say they don't function and some say they do. Which one is correct and how do i get honey? And how do i get meat? Also, depth worms are so easy to escape from, they don't chase you like hounds! GentlemanFridge
I wouldn't know about the bee boxes, but I can answer your other questions. You can get meat from bunnymen, moleworms, batilisks, spiders, etc. If you have a Tam-o-Shanter, you can nullify the sanity loss of eating monster meat, and with you playing as Wigfrid(ge), the health loss is also easily nullified if you just kill some spiders. Depth Worms are indeed easier than hounds to some degree, if you manage to lure them to a bunny village however, you can dispose of 'em really easily. You have to pick up the glow berry as soon as it drops, though. In my personal opinion, however, I find hounds easier. Which one is correct and how do i get honey? With RoG DLC bee boxes work exactly the same in caves like they do on surface. The only difficult thing is that butterflies don't spawn in caves at all, so you need to catch all of them on surface - a couple of trips and you have pretty grassland fulla flowers and bee boxes! Ruins are where the things get tricky. Bees won't leave homes on their own, but you can harvest bee box to force them out. Harvest nothing? How? You may ask. Remember that bee boxes produce 1 honey per day when they are far away and stay unloaded. Thanks to this you don't even need to force bees out. I find depth worms easier cuz they stop following you after some time. I have like 10 worms all over the map that i have yet to kill (probably won't). And how do you save glommer from earthquakes, i want him to stay with me so i don't go above ground. There isn't any way :/ You can keep him away from base, unloaded, but what's the point? You can heal him after every earthquake, but that's tedious. And if you are very unlucky he can die during one earthquake, I believe. FloomRide
To answer your second question, The best source of standard meat for jerkies or meaty stew/honey ham is bunnymen, but they can be a hassle to kill if you don't have a powerful weapon like the ham bat. Since you're playing Wigfrid, I wouldn't worry about getting killed by bunnymen. Rock lobsters also drop meat on death but they take forever to kill and even longer to respawn. Maslak
You can place a spider den and circle it with bunnymen houses, this way bunnies will farm silk, glands and meat for you. 8 houses is enough to keep you safe, they are capable of killing queen. You can add second den and another 8 houses to enlarge it's farming possibilities. It can be risky, because bunnymen will attack you if you pick up monster meat. That's why you can harvest farm only during daytime. And during longer days (mostly in summer) a couple of spiders will come out of den to attack you while bunnies are still sleeping, that's why this farm can be very tricky.
