The bearger in dont starve together.

Recommended Posts

Ok i am about to hit summer and after summer comes fall...which the bearger should be coming during. I have a few questions about the bearger (and seriously i have searched these up and there is no such thing).

1. How does the bearger spawn? Is it just like the deerclops when u hear growling and then ur character quotes on it? This is dst not rog so it could be different and i just want to be sure.

2. People say get his attention before he comes to base, but if you were a pro at the game u would know he does his ground slam move as soon as u attack him (not the normal swipe) which will DESTROY anything inside the area of affect attack which will easily destroy ur base even if he isnt too close. If he gets in my base and starts trying to eat things how am i supposed to get him out without getting him to destroy my base?

3. This will answer my problem to number 2 if this is true. Can you lead the bearger away with a food trail? This would be a huge waste of food resources but it is just a thing i would like to know.

4. What day does it exactly spawn? If it does have a warning growl just like the deerclops it should spawn after that on a certain day. The first time the deerclops spawns is day 30 during night, but i have no idea when the bearger spawns or if it even gives warning.

Just one more thing. DO not go saying stupid stuff like just get 10 honey and what not. Or take him to a tree field. I only want to get him distracted and lead him far away from my base. Also using him as another way to deal with other giants during his hibernation, even though i might get put to sleep at least i wont be the one getting attacked.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

1. Pretty much.

2. If you hear his warnings, you should run far from your base and yell at anybody else staying there to follow you, having him spawn near your base is extremely dangerous. When you find him, drop a food item (or rot) and pick it up as he tries going for it, After a few attempts, he'll get pissed off at you and start chasing you.

3. The bearger goes after rot, so that's a fairly cost-effective way to lure him.

4. It usually spawns on the first day of autumn after surviving summer, (unless another one is roaming the world currently).

Hope this helps. :>

A tip: the bearger will hibernate after eating 10 honey. If you want it to sleep throughout winter and possibly fight the deerclops, it's worth it.

Using the beast's main vice, gluttony, one can poison it (with red caps, ideally, monster meat and durians work too; monster lasagna is a waste since it poisons about the same as raw monster meat). You do need a lot though.

The bearger should follow you if you have food in your inventory. Lead it to a forest to farm logs and spawn treeguards. Then sit back and watch the battle. Afterwards, finish the survivor.

Actually I don't think it needs 10 honey to hibernate. It automatically does during winter-end of Spring unless killed before hand. It will never despawn and I think another cannot spawn if it is still alive. Not 100% sure if that is true. Might have to make another topic on that.

I...think I might have a glitch?  I gave him 10 honey and all that happened was that he started walking slowly, and haltingly.  Like he was groggy but he didn't actually fall asleep.

For the halibut, I tried 10 MORE honey.  Not only did this not work, but he woke up all the way and I had to quickly figure out how to lead him to the beefalo.

Why honey no work?  :(

...Notorious

I think the only thing I should add here is he doesn't spawn during Summer; he spawns at the beginning of a new Autumn. He won't spawn in the first Autumn, but he will keep respawning if you kill him. If not, no more Beargers will spawn.
