therock
Hi, I was hanging in the forums not long ago and I read about a mod that integrates don't starve together high-res textures (I don't know what to call them) to single player, but I forgot where I found it and i'd like to use it. So, can anybody please give me it's name? I'm really bad at searching. Thank you I know you won't let me down Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/68038-dst-textures-mod-request/ Share on other sites
CarlZalph
Not sure about the mod, but you do have the 'small textures' option disabled? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/68038-dst-textures-mod-request/#findComment-781565 Share on other sites
therock
Yeah, it's disabled. But I don't think it's what I'm looking for. In don't starve singleplayer, wearable items such as backpacks, hats, and weapons have low res images, In DST, these images have a high resolution. And I'm sure that there's a mod that integrates those images to don't starve single player. Zillvr
Hello @therock, I believe the mod you are looking for is HQ Wearables and Items Mod. Snippet from the workshop page: "Changes some character assets such as tools or clothes to use the higher resolution and less blurry artwork seen in DST. Works with Reign of Giants and Shipwrecked. " I hope that helps, cheers. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/68038-dst-textures-mod-request/#findComment-782882 Share on other sites
therock
Thank you so much @Zillvr that really helps. But after activating the mod I don't see a difference, maybe I have a problem? Zillvr
@therock can you attach a screenshot in game? can you also confirm that Small Textures isn't enabled in the settings? therock
@Zillvr Here you go. And I checked, small textures was disabled. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/68038-dst-textures-mod-request/#findComment-782960 Share on other sites
Zillvr
@therock next open the same save again with the mod disabled and attach the new screenshot of it. Then compare them side by side to see the differences. I haven't played DS:SW in a while so I won't be able to directly discern the differences either. I'll try out the mod personally when I can. therock
@Zillvr Here they are, the two images side by side. The left one where I enabled the mod. Yeah they look the same. Do you have some sort of mipmap settings on your GPU being forced? I know NVidia gives its users the options to force those. Mipmaps are a smaller and more blurry version of a higher texture used for far off rendering planes to reduce rendering costs. Zillvr
@therock are you sure you enabled the mod in the mod menu? There should be a dialogue box appearing when you enable the mod that tells you that the game needs to restart for the mod to work. Did you go through that? I have tried the mod personally and it seems to work for me. This is how it looks for me. Mod Active: Spoiler Mod Deactivated: Spoiler It's even crisper in game than this steam screenshot output. The spear and logsuit should be noticeably less blurry with the mod on. While the piratepack/booty bag doesn't change since the mod only has higher quality textures that were taken from DST. The affected item textures by the mod can be seen in the following mod folder location (Steam\SteamApps\common\dont_starve\mods\workshop-517367765\anim) if you're curious. If you're sure the mod is really enabled then CarlZaph's suggestion should help with that. Cheers.
