Tree walls?

I hear other players talking about tree walls how do you make one I tried but mine always has gaps one can weave though

You used to be able to make "walls" out of a few things, including trees and chests built right next to each other. The trick, I believe, with the trees was to build them as close together as possible in a circle around your base and then burn them. This made it so an accidental fire from a dead fire hound wouldn't destroy your camp, burn you, or cause any unwanted damage.

They fixed it a couple of months ago now so that chests can be walked through, and trees can't be used to make a wall. The devs don't like it when people can survive
