Playing as webber?

Recommended Posts

@Romcyn I'd recommending feeding them 4x monster meat to transform them into Werepigs. Start feeding them when they are doing the wind up for their charge attack. Once they start eating the first, continue rapid feeding them the rest of the remaining 3x meat. It can be a little tricky to transform them to Werepigs, but fighting them as Werepigs is easier than as Wildbores. If they are Werepigs, they always drop 2 Large Meat and 1 Pigskin.

I hope that helps, cheers.

What are some tips for playing as Webber in SW? I always have trouble getting pigskins on him. How should I play him?

Do you need general tips about webber or tips on how to get pigskin as him?

He's asking on how to do that as webber, which means, not being able to feed bores.

But you can feed Wildbores Monster Meat as Webber. I just tested it now and it's doable. You could get hit a few times so it can be tricky but it's definitely an option. So wear logsuit and feed them 4x Monster Meat when the Wildbore walks away after an attack.

Meh. Its better to leave it on the ground but make sure just the same pig eats all 4.

@AnonymousKoala I did say that it is an option. Leaving it on the ground is also an option. Although it takes too long cause sometimes the Wildbore wont eat if it's aggro'd on you. Leaving it on the ground also attracts other creatures like crabs or snakes so you'd have to watch out for that too on top of making sure only one Wildbore eats all 4x Monster Meat. Seems a lot more to keep track of instead of only focusing on dodging its attacks and feeding it inbetween the attacks.

Eitherway it's up to @Romcyn what they want to do. Cheers.

True.

If it matters, my favorite way is to get an army of spiders that can hurt him but not yet kill him, and then kill him myself to get the loot(Since they digest every drop from it) Or hammering wildbore huts.

I think I'll try putting my boar huts in a secluded area so I can just drop the monster meats. I was also wondering about general tips.

Settle near spiders(common in jungles, if you can get snakes nearby, farming them with spiders is quite good) of course. Don't plant your spider eggs until you're at base.

Keep spiders away from base when you make sandbags, they will destroy them.

Don't Shave until you're near/during Dry Season.

I kinda don't know what else to say haha.

Avoid Ballphins. Other than that I can't think of a lot that is specific to Webber in SW. And this:

I guess on the strategy side, since he has a bit easier access to silk, net may prove more useful especially earlier in the game, allowing Jellyfish to be utilized more often, including in crafting recipes like spear gun. Fishing rods also use silk, meaning they would be abundant, so shoals/tidal pools may also be a viable food source (they require time to replenish, so you'll need many of them close together for this to have a chance of working). Monster meat is easy to obtain via spiders, adding tropical fish from fishing to that makes surf 'n' turf, which is great for health and sanity. If you attempt to go with shoals, be aware that they get dispersed with strong winds during hurricane season.

If there are prime apes around, you can have the spiders attack the apes. If spiders win, meat items may be hard to get. If prime apes win, bananas and manure may be hard to get. When prime apes win, you can just let them collect all the drops, the feed a banana to one of them so they toss everything they have collected (except bananas and manure) to you. Having multiple dens distributed in a prime ape infested forest with a good balance between the two will allow you to pick the winner without getting involved in the fight. A few spiders attacking a prime ape near a single den during day time will have the prime apes win. Having the fight at night time will allow spider to win. This will require some experimentation with hut to den ratio and placement, but in the end, it will allow easy and constant access to all drops.

Can't he try and murder them though? I mass murdered a whole pack once.

monster meat is also easy to obtain via snakes.

All the rest is just...i fully agree

Oh, also, DO NOT MAKE OBSIDIAN PACKIM BAGGINS. IT WILL TARGET WEBBER TOO

Why shouldn't I shave before/near dry season? The beard stops growing after 9 days.
