NotStarvnMarvn Posted February 28, 2016 Share Posted February 28, 2016 Gears are great. Every world that doesn't starve focuses on gears or at least tries to get some sooner or later. Anyway, if a chess piece gets burned to death they drop ash instead of gears. That is kind of weird, GEARS ARE NOT BURNABLE I made this post to see if this was intended and if it wasn't, please fix this. Zeklo Posted March 1, 2016 Share Posted March 1, 2016 Well I suppose you could burn gears until they were no longer functional thus the equivalent in Don't Starve would be ash. The more likely option is simply for balance reasons, but I wouldn't overlook it being a bug either. leonseye Posted March 1, 2016 Share Posted March 1, 2016 I pretty much never use fire darts or fire staves for reasons like this. I love the animations too, so it's kind of a shame, but there's just never a reason that I need to burn down large chunks of my world or accidentally turn my loot into ashes w/out any real control.
