Are console versions (Wii U) patched?

Recommended Posts

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, I wasn't able to find an answer and was hoping someone might know?

I play don't starve on the Wii U, and recently got it for the PC, but I have long running save games on the console.

I specifically want to know because on the PC, rock lobsters received a patch to prevent them from breeding uncontrollably. Does this apply to console? I don't want to bring them to the surface otherwise.

If no one is sure I'll test it myself on a less played on file, but I'd love to know :)

Thank you to anyone that contributes

Hey there @Woollyhats, welcome to the forums!

The WiiU version probably has that patch as well, but I'm not sure...

Isn't there a way to read the latest update notes on the eShop for this game? (Sorry if there's no way to do that for any game, I'm not accustomed with Nintendo's eShop).

A shame I couldn't be of much help, I also didn't find any update notes anywhere...

Maybe @JanH could help you more with that?

To answer your question, no, the Wii U hasn't been patched at all to my knowledge, theirs still a bunch of bugs like the rock lobsters, incomplete strings for character dialog (For the Depths Worm every character says "It's a... thing.....) and a strange error where the game thinks the player has a mouse cursor on screen while their is none, crashing the game. I have no idea when these will get patched, probably never. Sorry for the late reply
