Stumps Should Grow Back Into Trees

When I first played this game, I thought stumps would grow back into trees eventually. However, they didn't, even though it would make sense if they did. Because of this, we're require to have a shovel and replant trees every time which wastes an awful lot of time and resources for very little reason. Would this feature fit in this game? Of course, imagine having to dig up your berry bush, grass turf, or sapling, every time you harvested from them. Wouldn't be fun or meaningful, would it? So please allow stumps to grow back into trees, it would make tree farming a whole lot better instead of leaving it frustrating for no reason.

 

The only bad thing I can see from this is that you'll be piled with acorns. In that case, make it so trees which regrow from stumps, no longer drop acorns until their stump is removed and replanted.

Well, I like the game mechanic as it is right now and don't think it should change... it not only makes surviving if not a little bit harder (or annoying) but it has also always been that way...

This is the forum where you go to ask for change, right? Just because it's always been like that, doesn't mean it shouldn't change. It's not like it's some core mechanic that defines the game for what it is and some game mechanics already changed from what they were before, so why not this particular one? This mechanic already exists for other plants as I've just explained, so it makes very little sense why trees are treated differently. Why a lumberjack is going into a forest with a shovel and requiring to replant afterwards is beyond me. I mean this is the same game where a tree grows in days rather than real life years.

It's just too tedious for very little gain and sense. I get it, the game needs to be hard. However there are much funner ways of making the game harder to survive rather than having these meaningless actions which essentially waste time and add frustration. Also I'm aware of the mod, but too many mods mixed with future updates causes problems. Just recently a mod has broke the game for my friends where it randomly turned autumn into summer. It ended up ruining our game and we had to start over.

DS is a senseless game, in a way. This functionality doesn't NEED to be changed, at least not right now. Leave that to the mods, eh?

Don't you think it's a little contradicting to be telling people in the Suggestions and Feedback section to leave new ideas to mods?

I'm not saying that, I'm saying this idea you suggested simply has no need to be implemented, at least, not right now.

And that there's a mod that already covers it if you really want it to be a thing in your game.

How about only in spring or summer? Trees without leaves will die out. Or maybe these stumps will become one season later very angry and evil trees hunting globally over the world their woodcutter.

That is a game about. Making it easier will make it more boring less challenging

I'm all for making the game more challenging, but challenging isn't another word for frustrating. Things can be challenging and fun at the same time. For example, implementing thirst in the game would make it way more challenging and fun, rather than requiring us to rip out stumps which should regrow back on their own as do berry bushes, grass turfs, and saplings.

I'd prefer it to stay simple as I suggested.

In reality, stumps eventually grow back into trees. In fact, I've witnessed this happen right next to my house where a small tree was cut.
