Pepesito1
I saw that in Dont Starve Together there will be characters skins. I saw a Young Wilson , W.I.P. WX-78 and Burned Willow I would like that these characters are a nerfed version of the normal character. Young Wilson100 health150 sanity, but it drains 25% faster than normal WilsonDoesn't grows a beard20% less meele damage Burned WillowTakes 25% damage from fire, instead of being inmuneCreates fire in a random location when sanity is below 50% WI.I.P WX-78Takes 3 damage per second when rainingGears are 30% less effectiveTakes 10% more damage Something like that, like a Werebeaver Woodie, that its a lot easier to transform in a Werebeaver. again, sorry if someone suggested this beforw Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/57753-hardcore-characters/ Share on other sites
Asparagus
Hmm... something like Invisible, Inc.'s "Archived" characters... Interesting... Jules
Don't think that'll happen.. Wes has been added for challenge but i don't think that the skins will change your stats in any way, however some kind of 'hardcore mode' with harder enemies and better items(like terraria) would be cool. Toroic
If you're looking for more difficulty, a better solution is to change world generation so resources are scarcer or hound attacks more frequent. Jules
Hmm idk i like the world generation at default values, it'd be cool to just amplify damage values a bit to make only combat more difficult Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/57753-hardcore-characters/#findComment-672909 Share on other sites

leonseye
Hmm... something like Invisible, Inc.'s "Archived" characters... Interesting... Except archive agents are actually balanced. OP's suggestions are just straight up worse than their counterparts in every way. Also, Wes exists. Zackreaver
These types of things can be modded in. As klei would have to dedicate alot of time and effort to make these "hardcore characters" as polished as the original characters, this task is better left to the modding community. Who generally have more time to play the game and theorize what would make a good hardcore character trait. Also I asked this on the dev stream, it's possible for code to recognize what types of clothes or character skins are currently active, so it's more than possible for modder's to make it so skin's have an in game effect like is what's desired.
