Please help

Ok ive made a mod, I open don't starve just fine but when I enable the mod I get a message saying the mod crashed last time used and I cant click anything, is there some kind of way to auto enable your mod or fixing this please

yes, there should be a lua file in the mods folder that explains this quite well

 

as for fixing it, check your log.txt (the same as used in the bug tracker, check it out)

The log.txt file should be in "Documents\Klei\DoNotStarve\log.txt". Old logs are completely overwritten by new ones, so make sure you keep track.

If your mod crashed the game before it could even get going, it means there's a problem in the coding of your mod. Your best bet is to post your log.txt or the modmain.lua file you're using so people can take a look and offer help.

Wow thanks for the help everyone but I have seemed to run into another problem when I replace the character template textures with my textures and delete the mod folder inside the folder "anim" it dosent seem to compile the animations and the folder doesn't get replaced.

Everything in the textures looks fine and it appears on spriter correctly but the animation files just don't compile

I get the same error due to some tex files.
