Characters Meant for Teams

I see that all the original characters are working their way into the game, but they're coming from a singleplayer game where the only thing that matters is yourself. Unfortunately this is DST, so people are going to start selecting characters that would benefit their entire team, rather than just themselves. Therefore I suggest that each character should provide something to the team. The game would be a lot more fun that way.

Here is what I got so far...

Wilson [beard Hair]: He's your reviver being he provides beard hairs for your team so they can all make their own meat effigies.

Willow [Willow's Lighter]: Offers your team an exclusive lighter that lasts longer than a torch. Unfortunately it's too expensive to even bother crafting and sharing to your friends until lategame and even then it really doesn't provide much since it isnt even the best portable light source in the game. Therefore Willow is a pretty bad choice for your team.

Wolfgang [Killing Players]: Wolfgang might be the best person for killing other players, which is very important when playing on a PvP server.

Wendy [Mob Farmer]: Wendy is possibly the best mob farmer in the game.

WX-78 [Nothing]: Sure he can become quite powerful if fed a lot of gears, but gears will always be better spent on your team rather than yourself. Also good luck finding so many gears in a game with many people. I don't see WX-78 worth getting at all.

Wickerbottom [A lot]: Wickerbottom spawns tentacles which they otherwise can't respawn, making their resources become renewable and can even use them as a trap. She also replaces the pan flute, making a renewable book that acts similar to the flute which does not use renewable resources. In addition, she can make a book that advances the next stage of growth for plants. She can also spawn birds with a book, giving a easy way to farm them. She can even make a book that does lightning strikes, as you can see she offers a little too much for a team. I would say she's a must...

Woodie [Wood]: By the looks of it, he's going to easily be your team's lumberer.

Wes [Nothing]: He's useless and seems like he'd hurt your team more than help it. He seems like he'll be the troll character to play.

Wigfrid [battle Spear/Battle Helm/Mob Farmer/Player Killer]: Haven't played her yet, but by the looks of it, she's an amazing mob farmer and can equip your team with amazing armor and weapons. She can also be a good PvPer by the looks of it.

Webber [silk/Mob Farmer]: He can get you a spider den in the beginning and can provide silk for you, but since he has trouble with neutral mobs, he may hurt your team more than help. Also while spiders don't attack you, they will still attack your allies so you can't use them like you would if you were playing by yourself. You're better off playing Wendy.

Maxwell [Miner/Lumberer/Mob Farmer/Gathering Sanity Drains]

Right now it's late so I'll write some things later that I'd hope to see for each character that would benefit a team rather than yourself.

Character Suggestions

Wilson: There should be a new clothing that will provide insulation and would be made out of beard hair.

Willow: Being that she's a pyro, unlike everyone in the game, her fuel sources for campfires and fire pits should account for double since she would know how to set things on fire more efficiently. For example, when Willow puts a log inside a campfire, it will be as if she put in two. Willow's lighter should also be refilled with petals.

[Asparagus]

Right now it's late so I'll write some things later that I'd hope to see for each character that would benefit a team rather than yourself.

Wes [Nothing]: He's useless and seems like he'd hurt your team more than help it. He seems like he'll be the troll character to play.

 

Wes actually has a great potential as a distraction master with his balloons, although I am hoping that his balloons will become more efficient and can provide more benefits.

 

Also, don't forget about Maxwell... O__O

 WX-78 can eat spoiled foods and would be a great tank for giants if he has eaten a lot of gears.

This book does have uses but only two uses charging volt goats so you can get electric milk (really hard to get without this book) and for teamwork she can use this to charge WX-78 which helps heal him and stay forever in system overload lol.

I think I might abandon this topic and start individual topics for each character as I play them so I can explain how they can be improved to better suit a multiplayer game. But thanks for your feedback guys, it made me think of different ways to use these characters.
