Then realised I can purchase Frontier pack as a gift to my friend for £3.75 ... Who is actually gonna buy Mega pack then?! Cuz Mega pack is the same as the Frontier pack, but with RoG and if you buy Frontier pack and RoG individually, it is much cheaper! Wtf?!" Either that means that the Frontier Pack 75% sale isn't going to last forever, or it means that... Well, you spend more money on nothing when buying Mega Pack :/ quite literally because: Frontier Pack + Don't Starve Reign of Giants = £7.74Mega Pack = £17.50 Yet both of these options gives you the same content! Someone pls explain? PS. I purchased Frontier Pack for my friend, but he didn't seem to get the second key! He didn't even need to type any keys in, he just got DS and DST downloaded instantly when I sent it to his steam account. Where can he find the keys and info about all the stuff within the Frontier Pack which I bought him? RalphKastro Posted March 18, 2015 Share Posted March 18, 2015 doesn't the mega pack come with 2 vanilla DS copies?Edit: My numbers may be a bit botched because the Real-Dollar conversion is going a bit crazy these last months, but from what I'm seeing, the mega pack includes a Don't Starve copy, a RoG, and a "Frontier Pack" which includes 1 don't Starve and 2 Don't Starve Togethers, so you would save 32 reais(11 dollars? 7? no freaking idea). The Steam page also doensn't mention keys, and Together's page says that it actually is 2 copies of DST, one being added right away, and another being a gift copy.And also, there's what the guy beneath me just said while I spent a few years writing this edit. It includes Don't Starve, Don't Starve: Reign of Giants and two keys of Don't Starve Together. So really, it is pointless. I also posted a PM to JoeW about the Mega pack and Frontier pack and the fact that I can purchase the Frontier Pack as a gift. I asked him a question. I saw that he checked the PM, but never replied. Sometimes I wonder the reason as to why Klei do not want to answer certain questions. They are good people and as owners of this game, they have given us good stuff and good deals, but it seems to me like I kind of know what's going on and it's sad for me to see it that way... If you buy the frontier pack without already owning DS it will cost you 19,99 Euros. If you also want to add RoG to that, its an extra 4,99 euros. wich equals roughly 25 euros. If you start out by buying DS+RoG you pay 18,99 euros. and if you want to ad the frontier pack to that, its an exra 4,99 euros. wich sums up to roughly 24 euros. So the mega pack saves u some moneys when buying the complete pack. The confusion appears when frontier pack is giftable with a discounted price. You can gift the frontier pack to someone for 5 euros if you already own ds, and they can purchase rog content for an extra 5 euros. summing up to 10 euros for the complete pack. The frontier pack didnt used to be giftable. And klei doesnt have direct control over the bundle prices and things beeing giftable or not.Im guessing something changed on steam and this got messed up. The Mega pack is suposed to be the better deal. Im not in direct contact with Klei so I dont know excactly what is up, but my guess is that IF the frontier pack is suposed to be giftable, it should then only contain dst, not ds. Also, if you gifted the frontier pack to a friend, he should have ds+dst in his game library, and an extra dst in his inventory. You yourself dont get anything, since you gifted it. The best deal I guess is if you purchase it as a gift (which is only possible if you own DS already). My friend got DS and DST downloaded automatically, he didn't need to type any keys in, is that normal? From what others have said, the extra key for DST must be in his inventory which can be used as a trading item (not sure if it's possible to be used as a gift, but I guess it doesn't much matter...). As soon as me and my friend are online, we'll try to sort things out so that he can give his spare key (or trade it) with our other friend. If the extra key is not in his inventory, I'll report back and I'll see how things work out. So far I see that Mega Pack is a better deal, but it isn't the best.
