Scay21 Posted February 8, 2015 Share Posted February 8, 2015 Bug Submission: Category: General Issue Title: Friends Only setting won't stay set to off, its always on. Issue Description: I created a server that I started with just me and my friend, I had set to survival with a password, and a limit of two players, but the friends only option was set to off. We played together a while and built a base, then decided to open it up to other players, so I removed the password and increased the number of players to six, leaving the friends only option set to off. We played like that a while, then the next time we played, I set the friends only option to on, so we could work on rebuilding the base alone. Once we got it rebuilt, I tried to reopen the server for anyone to play on, so I turned the friends only option to off, and started up the server, after several in game days, no one had joined, so I disconnected to check that I hadn't left a password on it or something like that, and I found that the friends on setting was set to on. I set it back to off, and started the server again, and still no one joined, so I disconnected again and found the friends setting was once again set to on. I tried restarting the game, and that didn't help either, friends only setting remains on no matter what, so I can't open the server to anyone other than my steam friends. Steps to Reproduce: I was just trying to resume the server. See above for details. Rayalan Posted February 10, 2015 Share Posted February 10, 2015 The only opportunity to change the settings is when you're creating a new server, setting "friends only" off/on seems to only be configurable when creating a new server. There is no other way to change the "friends only" option, once you've finalized the settings of the new server. I really don't think it's a problem, it's probably added for some odd reason... Unless you just can't change the "friends only" setting while trying to create a new server, then Wade or someone else will take a look at this problem.
