porps
so i hosted a public game earlier, it was great fun! Everyone is so nice and friendly too, i knew you could do it dont starve community! but eventually i had to leave and this basically meant i had to switch the server off... i only needed 15 minutes away, but if i just afk'd i would die. I'd like to see an option for the host to enter some kind of spectator or host mode to allow the server to remain up for the rest of the people in the game. As it happened the game crashed so the dilemna was taken out of my hands but i wonder if you might consider something like this.
KalebSearle
I am not sure if this works in DST as I don't have it, but try opening console and typing: c_godmode()then when you want it off do it again
rezecib
@porps, There's going to be support for an AFK command that will protect you while you're gone. It just hasn't made it in yet, but there's a fair amount of code for it in the files already.

Lady Tyrantess
What if they had a spectator mode while waiting to join a server for DST? Like, if the server was full or people wanted to get a feel for the server before jumping in, spectate to see what people are doing and whatnot? I guess it would help get rid of the constant "is there a camp? where are you guys" when new people join
