Questions About Caves

I heard that caves are not planned to be implemented in DST. I can see why; while I have no idea how it works, I know the game has a different map for the overworld, caves, and ruins. Theoretically, however, would it be possible to splice the three together into one massive map file (possibly through a mod)? I have no idea if this is possible, but conjecture is appreciated.

I'm curious as to how this adventuring system would work while maintaining constant contact between all three worlds. Hmm...maybe you can only venture there if all active players go at once. That way, only one world is up at a time while saving the files of all three. Any other conjecture?

Perhaps, the cave system could teleport everyone into it when one person went in.  However, there would be a prompt to other players for a cast vote, which would require 3/4 majority (or 2/3, or whatever).

That's how it'll work. But let Klei do what they can. Maybe in the future, it could support 2 worlds at a time if they optimize it enough. But the plan given is still a good solution to the "2 worlds problem"
