rezecib Posted October 10, 2014 Share Posted October 10, 2014 So in Don't Starve single player, rabbits and birds can be taken out in one hit by boomerangs and spears, but not punches: rabbit/bird: 25 healthpunch: 17 damageboomerang: 27.2 damagespear: 34 damageham bat: 59.5 damage In Don't Starve Together, base damage is now 10 instead of 17, so rabbits and birds take two hits with most weapons: rabbit/bird: 25 healthpunch: 10 damageboomerang: 16 damagespear : 20 damageham bat: 35 damage This means that the only ways to kill birds right now are blow darts, bird traps, or freezing them and hitting them with a ham bat or better. This doesn't seem intended, since rabbits and birds aren't really things you can gang up on. Perhaps their health should be reduced to 15 to restore the original behavior? Edit: I just realized another consequence of the damage reduction is that eyeplants now require a ham bat or better to 1-shot. So they're a lot more dangerous now... A health reduction to 17-20 would restore the previous behavior.
