benw1999 Posted December 14, 2012 Share Posted December 14, 2012 Buying the game directly from the dont starve website seems to be a few pounds cheaper (im British) so i was going to purchase it from here but i wasn't sure about how it worked. If i buy it from here will i get the 2 beta copies on steam straight away then the full steam version on release. All those keys will give you the full version when it comes out. Then click add game < activate game on steam< then put the code in. whitemountain Posted December 15, 2012 Share Posted December 15, 2012 While I cannot 100% confirm this for Don't Starve as I cannot afford the purchase yet...I have gotten many, many steam keys from 3rd party purchases. This includes both Humble Bundle and Amazon purchases. I have never had any problems redeeming them in game. Once redeemed its as if I had just purchased inside steam, rather seamless. I'd say go for it! Just make sure you don't redeem both keys in steam. Find the link to your activation codes (might be in spam/junk or could take a little bit)4.
