Finally deciding that he escaped the tree-beast, Theodesius sat in a meditative position, absorbing the sun's brightness. "I should find that 'Lord of Lies' next." He decided after catching his breath. The sun priest surveyed his surroundings, trying to decide which way to go.

Shana knew what it felt like to be lonely, but she always knew she wasn't completely alone. Even here before she saw the others she knew there were humans somewhere, and maybe she could go back to them someday. But everyone you know dieing and then being the only one of your species left, she couldn't even begin to imagine how sad and lonely he must be.

Shana's thoughts were interrupted when she saw the man who was bening light from earlier. She waved and shouted down to him.

"Hello."

Theodesius quickly stood up, shocked by the tree-beast's reappearance. "Tree..." He took a cautionary step back, a wave of hope flowing through him as he saw the tree was carrying a child with it... Perhaps this time it came in peace. "I don't suppose you've considered not trying to kill me?"

-Edit-

His gaze returned to the child as he heard her greet you. "Child, you seem to have made friends with this... Fine fellow, perhaps you could help him to understand that I am no danger to him...?"

"What to you may be food, to us humans it is life." Theodesius gazed up at the sky, trying to simplify his religion for the tree-beast. "Without Solak... Or, the sun, darkness would have destroyed our world long ago. His light brought us life, and banished the darkness and many evils with it. For that, we worship Him." He tried not to take offense to the tree-beast seeing his deity as a mere food source.

Theodesius frowned. He didn't remember harming the child... Which he assumed the tree-beast meant by 'sapling'. "If I have harmed her, I sincerely apologize..." A trickle of fear ran through him, but he banished it immediately. He came here to destroy darkness, and wasn't about to get killed by a tree. He looked over at the child gratefully, glad that she had come to his defense.

Spriggum looks from Theo to Shana; then shakes his head.

"Payment...must...be...given.  It...is...only...way."

The treeguard jams a single branch into Theo's mouth.  He then tears it out violently, one of the priest's teeth coming out with it.

Theo choked back a swear, and his hand moved up to his face. Normally, he would have called upon the Light to heal himself, but perhaps that would upset the tree-beast. Instead, he wiped some of the blood from his lips, and calmed himself. "If no more payment is due, might I ask you a question?"

The clockwork castle charged. Fluffy roared at the top of his voice, the little tyke. Dingane laughed an evil laugh, then blasted it with the fireball.

Such a move was nowhere near powerful enough to kill the rook, but it did take off its' back legs. The idiotic creature flipped onto its' back, then Fluffy pounced.

After he'd finished dissescting the metal rhino, Fluffy cackled, pulling out several gears and a gem. Dingane looked quizzingly at the gem, then tried to eat it. He bit back a choice word, then fed the teeth that had been unexpectedly removed to his furry friend.
