Is this some sort of feature I'm missing ? Genuinely interested. Below you'll find a screenshot of the beast (haven't named it yet ). Beefalo pet Let me know what you think or know about this! PureOpacity Posted July 11, 2014 Share Posted July 11, 2014 Well if you've used a beefalo horn, nearby beefalo are supposed to follow for a set period of time (a day I believe?). If it's been longer than that, permanent beefalo following isn't something I've known as being implemented. In which case, you're a lucky one and somehow snagged yourself a pet beefalo. Kudos! Xelfer Posted July 11, 2014 Author Share Posted July 11, 2014 Well, I used a Beefalo Horn near some baby Beefalo near the other end of the map, but none of those started following me and it was easily 5+ days ago, so I'm not really sure that still has an influence. And yeah, it is kinda cool but I can't really go exploring cuz I'm worried it'll be killed . the truthseeker Posted July 13, 2014 Share Posted July 13, 2014 if you Kill a Beefo child's parent, there is a chance the baby Beefalo will follow you as a mother/father/whatever that Asexual thing is as Imprinting works until it's an adult. This was removed from the DS wiki but used to be in there. It is a separate thing than the Beefalo Horn. Baby Beefalo do not follow the Beefalo horn blowers. Also, when exiting a cave, the Baby Beefalo might follow you until matured or killed. There is more info on this in the DS Wiki entry under Beefalo Bugs Occasionally when coming out of a cave, a Baby/Toddler/Teen Beefalo will start following the player until it grows into an adult or until it is killed.Since this is an Adult Beefalo, I'm thinking it's a glitch somehow.
