You can just build it in your hidden inventory and travel with a pre-built one.

Have I missed anything out? I won't need Science machine or Prestihatitator, thought I could make them and then place them in the next world to smash them and get some goodies

You probably won't need a night light, as they are kind of wasteful, unless insanity is your forte. 

 

Having a Krampus sack and filling it with goodies is also a good idea.

Those things are pretty much necessary when farming in summer. I learned that the hard way when I noticed half my berry bushes were burnt crisps.
