I think that in DST there should be friendship bars for each other player on that server.

 

For example when you do good things for a player like giving food wood or gold or letting them stay in your tent or house the friendship bar goes up and then around them they'll say nice thing and your sanity goes up.

 

But when you do bad things to them like hit them or loot their base the friendship bar goes down then they mock you and around them your sanity will go down.

 

another feature is the best-friend and arch-nemisis feature

 

the person your on best terms with is your best friend and will increase your sanity 4 fold and will occasionally do random acts of kindness like a hug that'll increase your sanity by 5.

 

Allthough the person your on worst terms with is your arch-nemisis and will decrease your sanity 2 fold and will occasionally do random acts of unkindness like a certain censored hand gesture or somthing that'll decrease your sanity by 5

I almost like it, but both sides should get different benefits, not just one is good one is bad. Like being good to other players makes sanity management easier, but being bad makes enemies less hostile to you (like aggro range or something).

 

For instance, the naughtiness meters summons Krampus, but he also has a chance to give you something really good.
