there should be don't starve sickness and natural events I know they have earthquakes but why not earth quakes that split the ground in half and magma rises

out of your world  and what if tornados picked mobs up and flew them or even volcano biome . and if you spend a given amount of time with a type of mob you get a sickness that has a up side a down side to the sickness like if you got bit by a spider queen you could clime for 5 min but you are going in sane for 2min  or if you get stung by a be you get fire resistance but you lose hunger faster  pleas post more ideas in the comet section blow . :wickerbottomthanks:

I think it would be cool if it was possible to get sick in general, like the flu or a cold. Something where it hinders the player and other players have a chance to heal you or nurse you back to health. I know it would never happen but it would be a cool idea.

My game lags enough when it rains or snows, it probably wouldn't play at all with earthquakes spouting magma from cracks.  :|

I enjoy the fact that this game is about planning for survival, being prepared as far as you can, learning from your mistakes.  I think for now there is enough of a balance between that and random things coming along to put a spanner in the works, such as a sudden tornado wrecking everything - we have giants to do that.

With getting sick and poisoned, that reminds me more of games like Dragon Age or Skyrim, where your player has a number of different stats that you have to balance and if they're diseased or poisoned you have to heal them.  I wouldn't like to see that in Don't Starve, as I think there's enough to do already with balancing hunger, health, sanity, temperature and now wetness too.

A new biome with cracks in the ground that spew burning steam and magma would be interesting though if it was just in that area, with new items to find and craft.

The suggestions are real!

You've pretty much suggested some interesting ideas that have been suggested before in the past (great mind think alike). Sure, diseases could make it in the game, but I feel it would be better if there were specific new creatures that could give you these diseases. Heck, they might even give random disease effects like the ones you mentioned.

(Also, maybe there could be a limit to the amount of threads one can make during the day? You kinda cluttered almost all the subforums with new threads ;) )

Why should bee stings make you immune to fire for no reason? o.O And what's a comet section and why does it blow? xD

In the files there is an unimplemented texture for lava. Just thought I would throw that out there.

No doubt. If you remember Klei were actually going to release lava caves in that 6 months of free content period. I have a feeling the next DLC will focus on caves, with lava caves beings one of the new additions.

Sicknesses that incapacitate a player and require another player's assistance is a perfect idea for Together.

Just like you'll never make it through a level of Left 4 Dead if your teammates aren't around to save you from crowd control.
