Another theory regarding THEM

Recommended Posts

I don't think that the people of the Ancient Civilization are them.  Mainly because Maxwell seems to know about them, which means they existed sometime around the time that he came to the world of Don't Starve, but They existed at the very beggining when Maxwell did arrive there meaning that They predate the Ancient Civilization.

When examining one of the relics, Maxwell says they were all dead when he arrived.

Ehh, the shadows creatures are deamons, don't you get that? I mean it makes sense! Many deamons are potrayed as being just shadows that mess up with the real world, it's like they are there, but they are not there. So if you could go deeper than ruins you would probably find some kind of volcanic stuff and lava or, going to a completely different path, where the shadoe creatures come from: the hell.

Don't let Battal hear that!

Fix'd so Battal wont kill you.

No, no, no, no, no.  No Hell.  It in no way fits with the theme at all.  Lava caves, I'm fine with that.

One thing I can tell you: Chwckmate, where maxwell was is a place close to hell... Why, you scared? Well the shadow creatures are not going to be friendly or anything, they are shadowic deamons walking on the world maxwell created. Magic leads to the devil, wouldn't you agree?

What makes you think that?  Hell is usually depicted as fiery and red; Their dimension is very dark and dead.

Why, you scared?

What kind of question is that?

The Shadow Creatures are monsters from another dimension which prey on those who have lost their minds.  NOT DEMONS.  This has already been confirmed.

Maxwell's powers were granted to him by Them as a trap, not by performing some kind of satanic ritual thing.  Also, why would magic lead to the Devil?  That makes about zero sense.

Overall, we don't need any religious themes in Don't Starve anyways.  Don't need it to turn into "Don't Be Corrupted into an Advocate of ****".

All I can say is: LOL

Yeah, great way to respond to someone's observations.  Laugh in their face.

If you can't take criticisms for your ideas, or even reasons why it doesn't fit in, you really shouldn't make them.  But anyways, we've derailed long enough.

Okay, fine... It seems you're kind of right, but to me they refer as Deamons. Wouldn't you say that deamons are shadow type creatures?
