Materite
I played Don't Starve long ago, long before Reign of Giants was released. Once I heard that RoG was released on the Humble Bundle, I bought it. Now, I play Don't Starve more than ever. However, I'm progressing very slowly- It took me an ingame week before I got a science machine. Could I get a little help to get back into the swing of things? Thanks in advance. Materite
Why did it take a week to get a science machine?(Ingame week, just for the record.)I had severe troubles with pigs (I was playing as Webber), beefalo, and a few more things... I was hoping for a Spear to be lying on the ground next to a skeleton, but that never happened. I've played as Wigfrid a few times, but never really bothered with Wickerbottom. I'll try her.(Also, I'm pretty sure she doesn't start with the machine itself; just its knowledge.) BurningBalls
Watch out for summer. If it seems like it is raining constantly, and bees are all hostile, you are in spring, and summer will come soon.Make sure to build an endothermic fire pit, ideally around 2 screens or more away from your main camp (ideally in a savanna biome for rabbits and beefalo), since during summer things will regularly burst into flames around your character.Later on get a thermal stone and put it in an ice box so you can travel around a bit. Focus on getting items that can help you survive summer.Summer is now worse than winter. Plants will all shrivel up and die, your character will shrivel up and die. But then I went into Autumn, and the Bearger absolutely destroyed me. Time to get my kiting shoes back on..
