Did anyone else notice this?

Weird. Died three times with Wickerbottom and no skeleton.

 

Were you in the caves? Unfortunately, due to respawning from caves sending you to other levels of the world and the way that the levels are split, it would be a lot of work for a small payoff to make this functionality also work in the caves. It will work if you have a resurrection method on the same floor of the caves as you are currently on, but if resurrecting sends you to a different floor, no skeleton will spawn.

What does WX say?  When I first heard of this addition I thought "oh, how are they going to resolve that with WX" but then I saw that when he's struck by lightning he has a full skeleton and even teeth.  So apparently he's a cyborg, or man in a robot suit, as some people suspected.  Though a man with adamantine gear-chomping teeth...

He is a robot with bones for structural purposes. WX78 is missing many that he would otherwise need to move and carry out life, but he has structural ones. I think bones were incorporated in his production, and he clearly isn't a dude in a robot suit. Can die to rain. Can eat gears with positive effects. Overcharged when hit with lightning.
