Basically their calendar just ended on december the 21st 2012 so that's why people thinks the world is gonna end. But most people think the guy who made calenders couldn't be bothered to finish it or he died leaving no-one to do the job after. As I recall, They sacrificed children and adults alike, whenever their nipple felt more soggy than usual. I think they said the world ends on 12-21-2012 just to troll us. Because they're assholes.The Mayans where actually very advanced compared to the rest of the Mezo-American world at the time. They had a language, investigated in math and astronomy and built very impressive structures. So the 21/12/12 on the mayan calendar is already over and the world didn't end.
