Chester looses its inventory after force close

Recommended Posts

So, that's what's happened. I was down in ruins and turned in to werebeaver. I wasn't happy about that so I decided to rather go and turn in to one in overworld that down there. I closed don't starve without saving, and when I came back to game chester's inventory was empty. And that's not the first time when such thing happens

Well, don't cheat.

Well, it's not cheating. It would be if I have had used commands to turn myself back to human form

I mean, you're not supposed to just do that. The game's supposed to have consequences!

I don't think they should waste their time fixing something that happens when you do something that you're not supposed to do when they could spend that time making the **** hounds less and more dangers everywhere else! Sorry, the hounds are just game-breaking for me. they become so annoying while the rest of the world is danger-free and you can walk around all you want until they come.

Well actually I think the same thing might occur if you accidentally turn of your computer, or electricity in your house would be gone for a moment

Didn't think of that, since I have a laptop that's always plugged in, and I've never had it shut down unexpectedly apart from when I had automatic updates on so it would randomly just update and restart in the middle of a Team Fortress 2 match.

Chester is kind off bugged in ruins.

Never take chester to the ruins, if you put stuff in him and then ascend to the surface, you will most likely lose EVERYTHING you put inside him.

It's a well known bug I talked about.

well, that's sheit. because now I am trying not to use bagpack

Were you running mods with your game?

It also may have just been a glitch that you encountered. Weird things can occur when you force close the game unfortunately. Let us know if the same thing happens again.

I have used only one mod, that displays food values. And for sure I will let you know :)

Actually JanH, I made a thread about this. Chester loses hist inventory items after ascending to the surface from the ruins. I lose multiple stacks of thelucite due to this and quit that save. Multiple people reported having the same bugg in that thread.
