Alice
Despite me having arachnophobia and wishing I could kill all of the spiders in game. I've been enjoying webber alot more then I thought I was going too. Only problem I have with him and a suggestion I would like to make is that his interaction with the spiders seems kinda limited in the way he can recruit them during the day. Either you have to hit the nest causing them to agro onto you doing damage or have some mob walk on the web for them to pop out. Was thinking if it would be better for him to be able to "knock" on the nest or something to call the spiders out so he can give them meat or something. It just seems kinda hard or tedious to summon up a small group of them during the day to prepare for a hound attack or a giant. Any thoughts on this? NeoDeusMachina
It's been discussed many times in a lot of different threads. My opinion is that it's perfect like this. You can summon them easily at dusk or during the night (which is more than half a day during most of the year). You can also take Chester with you and make him walk on the web during the day, causing spiders to come out with very little risk for you. Gathering a huge spider army is really good, its down side is the fact that you can't do it easily at any time. It's the same for other characters who want to summon pigs: they can only do it during the day without any means to make them come out at dusk or night. We need to adapt our gameplay and strategies to this situation ! =)
Alice
I should have probably browsed the forums a bit more then to find this out, sorry about that. Anywho I guess this does make sense then to have some limitations on it. I just struggle alot when the dragonfly comes and have not found a way to kill him yet. Thanks for the response though!
