Getting low performance since the last update

Ever since the last bees and dogs update a bloom effect has been introduced which is tearing my FPS apart, I used to get 60 FPS constantly and now I'm dropping at 30 FPS average, and 5 FPS during dawn.

I can't disable the bloom, the game starts in a big resolution and if I attempt to change any of the settings the game will exit, and my desktop icons will appear as if my desktop resolution was made smaller and then bigger again.

How can I fix this? In settings.ini there is no bloom option. I love this game, seeing my FPS so terrible I can't imagine what future updates will be like for my framerate

Try deleting your settings.ini, that might possibly work. If not, then I cannot tell what's happening.

The game is capped at 30 FPS…

They announced that it will be up to 50-60 in the next update...if not, it will be done quite Soon since people hates the poor 30 fps performance

I've had that problem when my game was up and running for too long. Restarting it seemed to solve the problems.

In case this is the steam version, go to your settings and make sure that you've got your game in full screen mode and the resolution set to the exact resolution of your desktop(and also disabled bloom in your case). Save and restart.
