JadedMeiji
1. Desert biome Can collect sand, farm glass using lightning rods, boss mob cobra/camel hybrid (bramel? Character comment "what's up bramel?") it spits venom that causes you to lose vision, humps across the desert like its doing the worm. Drops scales (armor), fang (poison darts or arrows) monster meat and/or camel fur used in new clothing styles. Mobs can be smaller snakes in sand pits simular venom spitting.2. Glass: used for making permanent lighting structures such as lamp posts and even stringing lights3. Permanent energy source for powering lights with electricity, water wheel next to ocean requires boards rope and gears... can even light pathways! Drawback electric light at night attracts boss mob Mothman! Drops monster meat, red gem (eyes appear red in darkness), mothballs (used to repel insects like moths, spiders and will repel the cobra/camel can later be used to create a bomb for said creatures and lastly can drop wings which can be used for clothing or a kite (used to collect electricity)4. Can use sand and glass to make hour glass... simular to compass as generally Un needed but can be used to set like as alarm so to speak when something is ready such as when to check crops or pigs respawning.5. Bridges over small gaps 6. Smoke bomb using charcoal and nitrate to let quick escape7. Stink bomb using charcoal, nitrate, and manure deters enemies for a few moments8. Baby hounds, can find hound mounds and steal baby like tall bird eggs... parents chase you until you or they die.. baby hound becomes your loyal friend as long as you dont kill his patents! you can feed it meat... 4 monster meat turns it into a were hound that will attack everything around accept you! More frequent to find the ice hounds during winter due to igloos but can find the rarer red hound on a full moon in summer9. Love the water and sailing ideas out there... would love to see sirens!10. And awesome...I love it... 8 silk and 8 beard hairs make a tuxedo... In winter while wearing the tuxedo, top hat and walking stick you are impervious to cold and pengulls will follow you and attack creatures on command... 23rd
I fully support #2 and #4. Sciencing up some glass would tie into an old, old suggestion I had for harnessing the power of the Lightning Rod. If nothing else the science is accurate, and glass could make for some really neat improvised items. The idea of a timer with no overt use other than being, well, a timer also appeals to me. Could be used to prepare for full moons (just give yourself a day's notice) or let you know when your grass/twigs have regrown. bean1010
YES to #5!!! Bridges would be an immense improvement. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/31366-mostly-random-suggestions/#findComment-413078 Share on other sites
KomodoDave
YES to #5!!! Bridges would be an immense improvement. It depends exactly what you mean. If you mean a random chance to spawn a small bridge, I'd agree. But bridges over every small gap make travelling to resources a much quicker process in certain cases, which reduces the game's difficulty. In that case it'd require more careful thinking imo. dylan819
I got an idea for a set piece that I call "Failed raid". what this is a tier 3 spider queen den with 3-10 skeletons in or outside the webbing of the den and each skeleton has a random armor or weapon next to it with higher percents of lower tier items such as spears and log suits and lower percents of better items such as staffs (Ice or Fire) or thulecite items. Parrotoss
I have been wanting glass in the game for a long time, so many fun possibilities can be had with it and nitrate serious needs more uses. In addition, having the lighting rod used more would be amazing! I could make an electric city fit for our good ol' gentlemen scientist like Wilson. Also, a bramel sounds awesome! MidrealmDM
I like the idea of bridges - A player could build a bridge abutment and place it on either side of the gap needing to be crossed.(This means a player would have to be able to get to the other side in order to complete the bridge) If two Bridge abutments are placed opposite one another the player could then craft a bridge deck (use flooring?) to make the bridge deck between the two bridge abutments. Since some areas with types of flooring already exist in the game meaning it would be easy for players to dig it up and move it, so a craftable deck might be better (although it could require flooring to craft), this gives the flooring a function other than decorative. A wooden bridge would be flamable (can be destroyed by lightning strikes or ignitied during the summer or by other means) If different types of bridge were wanted:A 'covered bridge' design to protect the bridge from igniting during the summer heat (also provides some shelter for the player)And a stone bridge would be sturdy and non-flamable. =-=-Another possibility is simply to place pre-existing bridge abutments on the map and then the player has to simply place the deck/flooring (larger gaps requiring multiple deck pieces). This could also allow the map to have areas that are completely cut off unless the bridge is contstructed. It would also allow flying monsters able to cross gaps without a bridge making some flying creatures more dangerous. I personally favor this last option as it allows the game designers more control over where and how the bridges will work. An Artifact
2, 4, 5, 9 and 10 I'm fully behind. Bridges should only be allowed to be a certain small distance though, so it isn't abusive. 10 is just hilarious and 9 was a personal desire for me aswell. JadedMeiji
I also thought you could utilize the glass for a fish bowl if you had it in your inventory while fishing and then you could take it home and place it... maybe it gives a small sanity boost because fish are calming Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/31366-mostly-random-suggestions/#findComment-438169 Share on other sites
