micah3639 Posted January 9, 2014 Share Posted January 9, 2014 Hello everyoneI was playing as WX today and it started to rain. Lightning struck me about 4 times in a row and I went completely insane. So my question is, does a lightning rod take priority over WX, or will WX ALWAYS be struck by lightning, whether there's a lightning rod in the vicinity or not? Yah every lightning strike drains 33 sanity and when you haven't consumed many gears, 3 strikes and you're out...literally... Eh, insanity is easily remedied. Just get a sleeping bag and all's well. lightning is great when you have enough health and a lot of sanity to "top off" your health to full (especially if you've upgraded a LOT due to eating gears.) However, when you are very low on health/sanity and can't bother taking hits/combat from Nightmares (or just don't want to lose stats ATM,) this is when you use the umbrella. Sometimes you don't have that extra day of food needed for sleeping bags, which do NOT heal health (so it's a bad idea to use in very low health and huger unless you can take a few seconds of damage and have enough food to restore you IMMEDIATELY.) If sleeping, I'd recommend Tents anyway with their multiple uses (and hammering it before its last or sixth use, getting components, and rebuilding another one.) The glowing part comes in handy underground, but the insane part does not.
