Guys, I want to use bow not a freaking spear. Why there is no Bow? Bow is most useful weapon for survival. But no there is no Bow in the game. Thats weird.

There's a Blow Dart. It's not a bow but they do the same thing.

Hmmm... I could see a bow with rope and twigs. And then a quiver made with pig skin and rope, and many types of arrows. It could be like a cheap early game blow dart and co.

its been discussed a lot:

 

they didn't add bows as they are very familiar weapons. Thus they kept to the unfamiliar theme by adding blow darts, its not what comes to mind when you think ranged weapon so it was a successful addition to the theme.

Yeah, I like that they did something unique you might not think of off the top of your head. Same with the boomerang. If someone said, "Think of 2 ranged weapons GO!!!"

I would probably say, "Bow and javelin!"
