"It matters not that they are empty or hollow. They are innocent and unsuspecting, and they do not deserve to be victimized. The suffering of one is worth the salvation of many. It is quite simple." The light grows brighter still. "I don't care if I seem like a monster. Maybe I am. But that is irrelevant. Shame we couldn't come to an understanding."

"Just like a mortal....to assume that innocence comes naturally...no, that such a thing even exists. Who do you think you are saving, hm? The rabbits? The dumb pigs? The unpredictable merms? HAH! You would do the same if it was just Ophelia here, on this world, all alone. Because...at the end of the day....you like her pain. You relish her suffering. Because you know it gives you leverage over her. It lets you use her for whatever you may wish. And she cannot do a single thing about it. No matter how much she tries."

The figure walked past Nathan coldly. Two darkened marble trees rose up from the frozen ground.

The figure put it's hands on the bars of Ophelia's cage.

"Poor, poor child. I have a present for you. I have no doubts in my mind that it will be the best present you have recieved in a long time. It's called.....Mercy."

A shadowy claw rose up underneath Ophelia and took hold of her. Somewhat gently.

The noises of an improper heartbeat fade in. Everyone hears it. Ophelia`s soulless but desperate eyes look up at the figure standng before her. "I can be given the freedom I was never granted?" She said

"Yes, dear Ophelia. A freedom that I can personally promise you will never be taken away. Never. I require nothing else in return. You have earned this much. May your tortured soul know peace in time."

A smile of sorts appeared on the figure's face.

(I think it's just the Don't Starve world. And, uh, I thought Ophelia only affected the world she was on. The first world was a...different one, I thought? Or no? Halp)

Lewis get's flashed by the same flashback he had when beated up by Rustlung. He stands up, screaming of pain.

"OPHELIA!" He coughts blod.

"Do you want to lose this battle with life?" *smiles ironically* "Life is the only true freedom!" <Now Alma!> he nods at Alma, who charges to the figure.

The figure caught Alma at the last second, grabbed her by the throat, and slammed her into the cage bars before pushing her to the ground.

"See this, Ophelia? Their own dreams and desires are their masters, not they themselves. Life is a type of slavery. You become a victim of your own thoughts. You know you were never to recieve these. Life betrayed you a long time ago. The afterlife is where one discovers what freedom truly means. Your soul has screamed out for release, for death.....and your wish..."

The shadowy claw tightened immensely, sapping her life force.

"Is my command......ssshh.....say no more, Ophelia....sleep...come and claim what is so rightfully yours."

Audia- Cory must've noticed something. Cory...?

Cory- Winter's coming back, but they're trying to kill it's master again.

Audia- Oh no...if they kill her, the seasonal balance will be thrown off, and chaos will ensue!

Meanwhile, Daniel rubs his ears from the screech, and notes the shadow spike to be his Aunt Cory's. She must've known.

Winro- OPHELIA! YOU DON'T REALIZE WHAT YOUR DEATH WILL CAUSE! THE BALANCE OF NATURE WILL BE BROKEN, AND CHAOS WILL CONSUME THE WORLD!

(I'm pretty sure that Nathan wouldn't be going through this to save the rabbits... Well, just gonna roll with it, I guess... Actually, wait... Newleaf would want to save the rabbits. And the trees. *New foothold acquired*)

Newleaf finally spoke, vines emerging from him. "You dare call the creatures that I live to protect dumb? And mindless?" The vines rush towards the hand, wrapping around it and weakening it.

(I think it will help now by saying Winro controls a much blacker type of winter.)

Winro- There is no freedom in Death! Tell her, Daniel, for you have died before!

Daniel looks at Ophelia with very cold, dead eyes. They seem much more hollow.

Daniel- Ophelia. I speak to you from my own experience of death. And I say now, there IS no freedom in death, or being dead. It's a cage and a curse. It makes you weaker, more terrified of the world around you. It puts you in more agony, so much more that you'd BEG to be alive again, screaming for life's sweet embrace. Death holds a truth much crueler than life.

(Come on Hybridic. Can`t I keep something unique to me? It`s not really nice to just take what I was meant for away..)

"They can be thrown in with the rest. Their selfish ways need to be brought to justice! They never helped the suffering. They lived the good life with no disabilities and complications!"

"But that is unnecessary! Most do not want to die. You speak of others' selfishness, but you are selfish now, in that you wish to retreat to a different world of pain and suffering, rather than living and allowing others to live."
