Okay. I'm ready when you are. Unless I'm offline...

Another question: is it okay if Shelby starts where Maxwell is? Because unless Maxwell just recently got dethroned, Shelby would have gone to see him immediately.

Hm, I was intending to wait a while before considering introducing maxwell. So i'll go with him recently having been dethroned, I guess.

Oh cripes. Forgot to do physical descriptions. As in, what the character looks like and wears.

Clarice: Red hair, goes halfway down her back, and red eyes. Wears a red dress. Skin tone is a bit tan.

Chris: short black hair, blue eyes. Wears jeans and a black shirt.

Okay, so you're welcome to start posting, but remember to include a physical description.

(And from now on, all non-rp text will go in parentheses to not make confusion.)

Clarice awoke from the sound of something slamming up against her front door. She quickly scrambled out of bed. She didn't need to bother getting dressed, she was still wearing her day clothes. The previous night hadn't been treating her very well anyhow.

Clarice: Hello?....w...who's there?

No answer. She headed to the front door, and looked through a peephole mounted into the door. There was nothing, but what appeared to be a book, of some sort. After a few moments, she opened the door, and leaned over to pick up the book, emblazened with a red "M".

Suddenly, the book levitated, and opened, the pages flipping to the halfway mark. Shadowy claws came out from the book. Clarice panicked, and tried to back up and close the door, but one of the Shadow Claws grabbed the door, and forced it open. Several of the claws grabbed Clarice. Before being pulled under, she just barely had time to scream.

(Physical description:

Simon: Tall and thin, with short and straight black hair. His eyes seem to be a messy color, and can only be described as gray. It is not a flat or dull gray, it simply seems to busy for the human eye to pick out any one color. Blue tee shirt and shorts.

Shelby: Seems to be an average snail, with a bright orange shell and a more toned down orange for the body. He wears glasses where his eyes would be if he had a face.)

Simon sat by the grave, face resting on his hands. How long had he been sitting there? Hours, definitely. It was a lone grave by a forest, simply sitting there proudly. It's only inscription would be "Pops", created by a crude hand. It was morning... Again. He spend his normal twenty four hour meditation, just as Pops had instructed him to. He stood up, and brushed Pop's grave. However, before he could take his leave, something pulled at his arm. It seemed to be some sort of invisible mass making contact with him yet he couldn't truly feel it. He took one look at his captor to simple see a hand made of darkness before he was dragged into the void.

Shelby waited on his tree. That newcomer to the throne didn't waste much time before dragging some poor beings into the realm. He hadn't even had a good chance to look for Will. He sighed longingly in his perch as he felt the presence of another draw closer and closer.

Clarice awoke in a grassy field, with a headache. She groaned, and shook her head a little bit, before coming to her senses, and standing up. She looked around.

Clarice: .....Where.....w..what?....

The entire place seemed alien and unfamiliar. As peaceful as it was, something also sent a slight chill down her spine. She was confident, however, that if she explored for a while, she might come across someone, or something. Eventually, she picked a direction to go. After about an hour, she came across a skeleton. Clarice went stiff. She hated dead things. Really bad. Especially skeletons. The skeleton's head and arms were raised to the sky in despair.

Clarice: ....God....you've gotta be kidding.......ugh....

There was a torch, a couple pieces of flint, and a small handaxe. She thought it over for a few moments.

Clarice: ....Sorry.....I....I may need this more than you...

Clarice took the torch, flint and the handaxe, before continuing on, not really sure where she was going, nor what lied ahead. But the skeleton was not a good sign.

Dewdrop trods along the sidewalks. It's a beautiful day in Flamerock refuge, as a rainbow manages to make its way across the sky. She was heading to her workspace, watching the wagons being pulled by handsome, hard working men. As she walks, she notices something. A little alley behind Sugarcube Corner. She had never seen it before, and decided to use it as a short-cut. As she walked through it, the shadows started to creep up on her, getting closer at every step. One managed to grab her ankle and she tripped. She quickly scrambled to her feet and ran as fast as she could towards her workplace. When she got in, she didn't botheration turn on the light. She grabbed a bag and all the bottled clouds she had, when she was grabbed again. She instantly fainted, due to fright.

Shelby had watched the girl plow off without a second thought. He wondered whether or not to give chase, and decided against it. After all, there seemed to be more arrivals. Will had always been smart enough to only capture one at a time, but the new one wasn't. Power comes in numbers.

Simon opened his eyes, and saw himself lying face down in a field of grass. Had it simply been a bad dream? He picked his head up and surveyed his surroundings, only to find that nothing looked familiar. he swiftly stood up and took in the landscape around him before making any decisions. Shelby watched patiently from his tree, knowing at least one more would arrive.

Clarice came across a few rows of berry bushes. As soon as she got near, a large, turkey-like bird lept out, and made gobble-gobble noises, quckly scarfing down the berries greedily.

Clarice: ....Ugh.....that bird needs to go on a diet....

-----------------

The sun was halfway across the sky. Nothing. Not so much as a house. Clarice went to turn around, when she suddenly saw something that stopped her dead in her tracks. A massive, wart-shaped spider nest, made of thick webbing. A spider that was waist-high to Clarice crawled out, seven different sized eyes blinking at her.

Clarice: ..N...no....not spiders......

It let out a loud hiss, and started crawling towards Clarice. Every synapse in her brain was telling her to run, but the fear had essentially paralyzed her from the waist down. As soon as it was in striking distance, Clarice panicked, and struck it with the axe. It put on a hurt face and stumbled. Clarice kept hitting it repeatedly over the head, finally dealing a fatal blow by driving the axe head into the spider's mid-section, panting.

Clarice: .....Phew....

Suddenly, three more spiders crawled out, and hissed angrily. This time, Clarice managed to run. And scream, rather loudly. Loud enough for Shelby to hear.

Meanwhile, Dewdrop was also met with a worrying silence. She appeared to be in what looked like a savannah of some sort. There was a jackalope sniffing the ground, looking for carrots.

(Wait... Now the sky's halfway across the sky? Where was it before? Wasn't it just morning?)

Shelby can see Simon and Dewdrop from his perch. If any more would be coming, they wouldn't be coming for another day or two, or at least not in this area. Shelby crawled down the tree between the two arrivals. "Greetings! Looks like you've made it!" Simon looks around. "Who said that?" Shelby laughs lightly. "Down here. Come, both of you." Simon walks towards the voice, not sure of what was happening.
