Sowers25
Alright, so this is something that has been bugging me for awhile. But say that i have a character who has gotten to day 125, and a new update comes out for the game, and let's say it's a pretty big and significant update, do you need to start a new game to get the content in the world, or will just loading up the old world add all the new content? FDru
You will get everything that does not pertain to world generation. You only need to start over for things like "totally normal trees" and whatnot, since they are only spawned when a world is created. However it's usually a good idea to start again anyway because old maps tend to be buggy after updates...
jbeetle
that being said, you won't have to worry about that for a good while.
Malan-Tai
Personnally, I dunno. In fact, I had an old world, and whe roads were added, they appeared in this world, by magic...
the truthseeker
Considering this last update was, well, the last regularly scheduled update, that won't be an issue. Perhaps months down the line for an optional Downloaded content or a rare but possible free update MAY have content that MAY require a world reboot, but it's possible it won't. Anyway, most veterans consider a world "old" when you hit over 300+ days.
