A puddle of blood is on the right of the stone, and bones are on the left. A massive red hound rises out of the blood pool, and the bones knit together to form another huge hound. The two beasts howl, and advance on Battal. The red hound seems to trigger bad memories for Jakob, and he flees. However, the red hound jumps onto him, knocking him down and pinning him to the ground... The bone hound, however, is much tougher and too heavy for Joseph to levitate. It furiously bites down on one of Shard's wings, then goes for Jack. Knock, knock, knock. The hound turns to Jakob, who is grinning as the stone lowers into the ground. It jumps furiously at him, but he taps the stone again and steps aside. The hound hits the stone at full force, breaking into hundreds of pieces. He barely avoids the boulder. Using a vine, he grabs it and rotates it back around to the hound like a morning star.
