Empty backpacks fit in chests / Access pack contents while on ground

Ask the title says, it would be nice to store a backpack that isn't in use. I tend to have a chest with equipable items and I'd like to include it!

It would also be nice to be able to open up a pack while on the ground (perhaps with RMB?), which would make it handy, as it could be used to quickly pick up different sets of items (for instance, everything needed by a crafting recipe).

Well you can still put items in them and then throw them on the ground. They are cheap chests that way sort of.

Yeah, I'll agree with these ideas. I mean, if the backpack is empty then it's not a double-storage exploit while inside a chest. Opening backpacks on the ground seems fine, but I'll understand if this creates a technical difficulty (i.e. wearing a backpack, while opening another backpack).
