The H idea

In the game im trying to find my camp in the map but you cant really find it with out science macine or alchemy enegine and what if you dont want to build those.

so my idea is you can place an H on the map to symbolize your home

also while writing this I got more ideas

on the map it should show you what ground it is swamp, desert, grass, rock things like that

different biomes are already shown in different ways on the map, but yes, using colors could help a lot with differentiation.

the H idea is, well... I think just a huge H would look terribly ugly to be honest. It is already in discussion to add a way to set your own map markers via signs that are craftable items you can place and that show up on the map.

besides that, the fire pit already has a map symbol that looks like a.. well, fire pit, and a basecamp without fire pit is not a camp, so even if you don't build a science machine or alchemy engine, you still see the fire pit as camp marker.

Personally I use bird-traps as markers for different places, they show up pretty well, and don't cost too much to make.

All my bases have fire-pits which show up on the map. My main encampment also has fields of very closely grown grass and twigs that make it obvious. I have never found it difficult to figure out where my stuff is.

Making a camp fire will show you where your camp is it will show the icon of the firepit wich makes you identificate the area where your base camp(home) is.
