They seem to be needed for Starnacles and Pinpokis. As far as I can tell, there is no sustainable way to farm Starnacles except wild or maybe with fetching Coquina from space. But planting them requires natural backwalls and these are basically not in locations where I want to use them.

The whole thing reminds me a bit of the situation with pip-planting before we found out how to do "natural" tiles. Hence does anybody have any success or any observations regarding "natural" backwall creation?

Well... Mods exist! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3749231019
I don't think anything in game can currently interact with the background. Perhaps when backwalls spawn for all biomes, we will see some new implementations?

The thing is, creating natural tiles seems to have been discovered by accident. When Pips became available that became really interesting while it basically had no use before.

On the other hand, I can do without for the time being. It is not like it is critical in any way.

Just plant them in flower pot like a normal person...

No, but has anyone tried flaking or superheating/cooling backwall out of drywall with the new update. I have a gut feeling that it just drops off material to the foreground.

but I don't think that applies here 🤷‍♂️

it applied here because he said

and im trigged by that. There are ways to do things if you know how to exploit, and this post specificly asking for exploit. Door things that create natural tile also can be consider an exploit, and this post asking for natural backwall.

Problem with natural back wall is i think klei only add them in DLC, and i dont know if there are natural backwall tile for every element, that need more testing.

ah, that is what he was talking about XD

i thought you are pro... Only one way to plant farm in flower pot.

Oh! I think I get the pic now. took me a minute. so you used the falling sand pip exploit or some other way to copy settings and get the pip to plant in the wall planters. And to bury the planters in an airflow tile, you used the building inside tile exploit by constructing a buidling over a near-deconstructed tile with a different material. Did you still need glass backwall for this to work or no?

no, glass back wall is not needed but because my plant sitting on 10g liquid that can change heat way too fast for me to control, i add weight to tile by glass wall (because i like the look too).
