axxel
19 hours ago, Mike23Ua said: Today I want to discuss these TALL forest trees and the potential capability they could have in a game where we have elevated hillsides. I think it would be really cool if there was Hills we could not reach by any means whatsoever, Unless we chopped one of these big bad boys down, and placed its *seed* on the edge of land waited for it to grow tall again, and then chopped it down (now with actual tree falling animations and characters like woodie yelling out TIMBER!!! As it crashes to the ground instead of just becoming logs like in DS/DST) A chopped TALL tree could fall over and create a tree bridge for players to walk across the tree to reach an otherwise unaccessible hilltop. I’ll try to add an image later to give a better example. We don't know whether the characters can natually climb the walls or other means like ladders or stairs (since we had gotten bridges in DST). But I agree that the tree's height are evident that they play a role. Mike23Ua
Here are examples of tall trees being used as bridges.. I just grabbed images off Google (mostly because I can only draw stick figures.. 😂) The game can have “patches of dirt spots” like little areas on the edges of hillside where the trees can properly be placed and grow (for obvious reasons they couldn’t be placed EVERYWHERE, only in places where the game allows them to grow) Klei can even add visual hints to the player that they CAN DO THIS such as areas of the game where they’ll spawn already downed. Anyway I just really hope DSE focuses heavily on more survival and navigational puzzles, and less on raid bosses. Juny Pear
Really easy Potato Dumplings made from leftover Mashed Potatoes Ingredients [Servings vary]: Leftover Mash [This works best with mash made with butter and cream] Some cornstarch Some breadcrumbs Some eggs Some form of filling [I recommend cheese, but you can use other stuff too] Also I recommend using gloves Instructions: Put on your gloves, add a tablespoon of both cornstarch and breadcrumbs to your mash, and start mixing it with your hands Once mostly mixed, crack in an egg and continue mixing until its one cohesive mass Check the consistency of the mixture, you're looking for a somewhat dough like, non sticky texture If it's still sticky and moist, add a bit of corn starch and breadcrumb and mix until it stops sticking If it's very crumbly and doesn't hold together well, add an egg and mix until it stops falling apart Once the right consistency is reached, form a few dumplings a bit smaller than fist size Take a dumpling, flatten it to about half the thickness of your thumb, add some filling to the center [don't add too much] Close the dough around it to form a ball, roll it in your palm a bit to close smaller openings and form a somewhat squashed ball. Repeat from last step until all your dumplings are filled Once all filled, add oil to a pan until the surface is covered and wait for it to heat [it should be pretty hot, you can check with a wooden skewer, if lots of smaller bubbles form around it, you should be good to go in a few more seconds] Add your dumplings to the pan [don't add too many], and fry from both sides until golden brown [flip every 30 sec, they brown FAST] Done :3 Protato Tips: If you want them EXTRA crispy you can roll your dumplings in some more breadcrumbs and deep-fry them [very greasy though] Pairs nicely with ketchup, spicy sauces or sour cream based dips like ranch If you don't wanna add filling, making them smaller balls works well too to serve them as a side for something else What do y'all think of my recipe 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171361-lets-talk-about-literally-anything-that-isnt-characters/page/2/#findComment-1872365 Share on other sites
