Klei. "Go it alone".

I hope we'll have a full-fledged single-player mode, balance, shards, and everything else for playing alone.

Or are you forcing us to play on a multiplayer server alone again?  Oh...

Waiting another 10 years for a new game that will be single-player or at least have a "single-player balance."

Hope so. I play DST exclusively solo and while I don't mind the extra HP of enemies, I do mind the balance of certain bosses (looking at you Toadstoll, AFW, and some others).

Please tell me my friend, how did you ever manage to overcome enemies with enourmous pools of health, that also gather and swarm in large groups?

One pirate Monkey raid on a small wooden boat platform and I was ready to give up on ever doing anything at sea.

Enormous pools of health isn't that big of a deal, just bring extra weapons and armor. Stuff like Monkey Raids, I relied on always carrying a banana and/or the Pan Flute.
For large groups of units (like Splumonkeys), uh... run away until you can kite a few at a time (like anything more than 4 units I tend to avoid since I can't kite it without getting hit).

Large hp is pretty easy to calculate how much you need, esepcially if the target doesn't heal. So I see how much health an enemy has, divide by my weapon's damage to see how many hits it requires with that one weapon, then divide that by the durability of the weapon to see how many weapons I need to bring.

Огромные запасы здоровья — не такая уж большая проблема, просто возьмите с собой дополнительное оружие и броню.

This is a problem mainly because it's not interesting... There should be a balance between the duration of the battle and the variety... And this is very important. You can make any battle worse by reducing the HP or simply ruin it by making too much...

Well Mike. Pirates are one of the few creatures that have Solo HP... I recommend carrying traps on your boat...

I feel like the new game being a new game and all that the developers will start from the very beginning to make the game more smooth in areas that DST is rough with.

And by that I mean that it hopefully will properly scale the game world, aka enemies, health, damage that sort of thing based on how many players are playing. While this concept is actually USED in DST (Aka hound waves) it’s not used often.. and it makes DST frustrating to try to play Solo.

Another thing I hope they look into tackling early into the new games development is to actually get some real game players (this means people who prefer playing on a particular game platform instead of just “Steam”) to properly play & beta test and provide early feedback for inputs on how the game should feel using a controller (switch 2, Xbox etc) that way instead of ending up with a game that is designed for KB & Mouse first and foremost with controllers being left poorly optimized or in worse case scenarios having features that do not function at all (no we still can not perform any action that relies on drag and drop such as taming Gnarwail, or dropping salt in water to distract cookie cutters thanks so much for asking!) Hopefully this NEW game will be designed early on with good feeling controller input.

You reminded me that console players don't have mods... How I feel for them...

I feel like all the bosses' HP is balanced around like 1.5 players. 1 player has it go a bit slow and 2 has it go a bit fast. 3+ players is ridiculous.

Except Toadstool. His health is balanced around like 40 players.

Another hopeful vote for single player :D I don't like playing DS with other people. They mess up my mojo.

I would say... The world goes from being controlled only by you to "they did everything for you." This is only good for bosses and some particularly fat mobs...

Deer Clops - 2 Wilsons

Klaus - 2-4 Wilsons

Toadstool - 6 Wilsons
