*sigh*... ok...klei im not mad just disappointed

My ps5 version journey has been a sad one so far. 

1st - i happily join in on downloading the version, only to find out none of my ps4 version saves are playable literally 2000+ hours of playtime useless now. No problem i love this game and nothing is better then starting fresh and making new friends, my whole friends list is made up of only people i meet on dst, such a wholesome community of persons and individuals.

2nd - from the end of Oct-mid Nov. I can't even load into my game cause it just sits there loading forever. Then it just decides to work one day and me haven't done a single thing besides hope(and scour the internet for hours on end looking for anything of help) gladly plays my favorite game. Oh look new trophies to earn, wow, i can see skins to buy with my hard earned spools. So many new great mechanics.

3rd - i play a few worlds of my own but something keeps happening everytime i rollback. Now im not trying to sound like a ass but im good at this game and im proud of it. So i dont usually rollback or try very hard not. Its through no fault of my own as i allow noobs or anyone to join my world. I like helping people learn(and showing off my builds). Sometimes the occasional troll comes through and steals important stuffs to me or just burns everything. Right, ok no problem, good thing klei implemented a rollback feature just for these said things.

But wait the rollback feature is now the troll as it breaks the auto save mechanics. So now im determined to never rollback again.

4th - So i proceed to play a world for 150+ hours and something happens i really need to rollback. So i cross my fingers and do it. Lo' and behold the game fails. But this time its worse then just losing a few days. The game boots me only and keeps my server up. So i try to join back to no avail. 15 minutes go by then it finally lets me host again. But something is wrong, the 15 minutes i was gone my character was still in the game dying from darkness or starvation. Silly me forgot to turn off death timer so while i was gone the whole world had moved on without me. 

5th - I rejoin the world and the rollback glitch puts me back to the 15 minutes where i was kicked from the server. Yay alls well that ends well right. Nope, cause after 15 minutes passes my game constantly crashes. Why you might ask? Cause while i was gone my character had died and the server wiped and saved cause of the death timer which only gives about 2 minutes to respawn had already happened. So my world didnt exist anymore beyond that point and the game itself had no idea what to do but crash everytime it got to that point.

So in conclusion - Im sorry im so dumb and play a game i love so much, everything that happened was probably my fault anyways.

i am sorry this happened. it sucks so bad when system carry-overs break and nothing can be done except hope things un-break *eventually*. unfortunately december and january have, historically, been the worst months for fixing broken things with klei and, if i am understanding correctly console bugs are harder still to fix because the game is intended to be run on pcs so there is longer waiting and less hands for playstation

I'm sorry for your loss. I used to back up my worlds to the PS+ Cloud every couple hundred days or so after a 1000+ day world loss. I'd say your next creation will be even greater, but the current version of the game is broken af so who knows when you can start on that. 

Do you have any pictures or videos of your old world to share? I always love seeing what the higher day count worlds on console look like.

I'm pretty sure this was happening before the event BUT I definitely had it turned on in my world.

I turned off all events and had the save bug happen to me still along with crashing. It just didn't happen as often.
