The new skins for the Bee Box and Drying Rack do not specify that they are only applicable for Pearls' Bee Box and Drying rack, I think this needs to be specified under the skin as they cannot actually be used on the player constructed items, only Pearl's

dang, really? i was hoping to use the rack  after spring ended x____x

At the very least I was hoping for a new bee box skin because I assumed the drying racks were for Pearl's only (I was actually hoping deep down that I was wrong and I could use the same skins for my own racks... I skipped over the last few bundles to spend on this one...).

The only way I feel I'd make her skins worth it is evicting Pearl and bringing her over, which means we have to beat the lunar mutated bosses first 😑

It's the same with crockpot skins. It's nowhere mentioned that some skins are character-specific.
My brother recently bought a bundle with crockpot skins thinking he would get to use them, but got scammed instead.
If not specified in the description, at the very least the names of those skins should be changed to prevent confusion, e.g. "Portable Porcelain Crock Pot" instead of "Porcelain Crock Pot" or "Hermit Coral Meat Rack" instead of "Coral Meat Rack".

I'm pretty sure it might be an oversight because, for some reason, Pearl's Bee Box and Drying Rack have unique strings for them, but said strings are identical.

BEEBOX_HERMIT = "Bee Box",
MEATRACK_HERMIT = "Drying Rack",

Usually SetPrefabNameOverride would be used to make a prefab use strings from another similar prefab, to avoid needing to make identical strings.

 

Ideally, these ones should have unique names similarly to the house:

HERMITHOUSE = "Hermit Home",
HERMITHOUSE_PEARL = "Pearl's Place", -- used when at a high friendship level, for when she tells you her name

(and have the "hermit" version of the string be the name used in skin menus)

I feel like that's probably the best way they could go about it now due to the misleading identical names: allowing them to work on the player version of the structures.

Ideally it won't just be allowing the skins to work though, as that'll result in identical-looking structures despite being different, so they'll have to make unique artwork for them. This also applies if making other existing skins for player Bee Boxes and Drying Racks work on Pearl's.
