I've always found it weird Wicker couldn't get presents from the Christmas tree because she couldn't sleep.

Since the time is approaching, maybe we could have it remedied? Maybe just letting Wicker lie down under a tree and fake sleep, and say something funny like "snore, honk shoo." Not get any stats for sleeping of course, since she isn't actually sleeping. But just so she can get the presents from the tree.

a downside is a downside lol, what's so complicated or weird about it?

When the downside just removes the ability to partake in events.

Like, that's explicitly why I said she wouldn't get any benefits from "sleeping" other than the Christmas tree part. That's still keeping the downside, and adding a functional way to have fun with the festivities.

I mean unlike Wigfrid not being able to drink Pearl tea which getting to Pearl Tea a requires a heavy time commitment and pushing through questline tedium, winter's feast trees are one of the best loot boxes in the game for almost no effort. The most difficult thing is crafting a type of bedroll to sleep in, and even now that is not so bad since tents and siestas got buffed.

Winters feast trees also do not give anything unique besides Gorge and Forge ornaments, which are only decoration and character swapping often is done for decor anyways, and walking canes, which almost every player has to suffer without because somehow there is still no way to get them in other seasons besides winter without immense effort. Wicker can still help in decorating winter feast trees anyway, helping participate in the event so it is not like she is left out.

wigfrid can help decorate pearl's home which means she is helping to participate and is not left out. tea does not offer anything unique and each tea's effects can be duplicated in other ways long before the player has access to tea. i am not sure why you felt compelled to compare the two in this manner?

Oops did not see this that this post was bait, don't know how I thought "snore honk shoo" was genuine.

I think my main worry when making my post was that Pearl was going to be forgotten as she was for the last 5 years, as her purpose was not much more than lunar quest filler. Also Pearl is a part of the game forever, where Winter's feast happens for about 1.5 months a year, unless you toggle it. Decorating is sorta one and done with Pearl as I can't imagine people redecorating her house more than once. The items in the combriner are so mediocre that I forgot about the portage conch item which is arguably one of the stronger items in game now, so there definitely still reason to interact with her post-quest for Pearl.

I do agree that the tea's probably should not be offered to Wigfrid as I agree they really don't offer anything besides very strong sanity and temperature items. I would not mind if Wigfrid would consume tea's durability without actually drinking it, funny interaction where you "eat" someones food you pretend is very good.

while it is not 100% sincere i am not sure the original post is bait either. the poster seems invested in wickerbottom's sleeping situation. i just assumed they were trying to be funny

i worry about pearl not getting a lot of interactions too but if i remember correctly she has an item that the player can get that turns pearl into a lazy deserter. you can teleport to her from (almost)anywhere. i think that will do a fair bit to make her more favoured.

oh! that would be funny to have her pretend. i am not sure how to do it though? people might think it is a glitch

Yep I reference that item in the post, the portage conch (I had to look up what it was called) and agree with you that the item's significance will keep Pearl from being forgotten. I almost called it the "Pearl teleport home item", would've made my point a bit clearer haha.

Could always follow with Wigfrid pulling the disgusted animation after "drinking" it and having a quote, for example her saying "mmm... this drink leaves the möst fearsöme burns in mine stömach... I shall leave the rest to my cömrades as a test öf strength", for fire nettle tea. This might be a bit too much work though for Wigfrid so I just expect her to not be able to drink it.
