Wigfrid can't drink tea

I am not sure if this is a bug, so I just post a thread here. Besides Wigfrid still can't eat Nightberries. Really hope she can enjoy these food's buffs.

It's not a bug, but rather a characteristic of the character.

I'm pretty sure she already couldn't drink soothing tea, even though there's honey in it.

Which of the new teas does she actually need, considering her songs? IIRC, all of the tea effects are found on other foods.

The devs always find a way to bend the rules of their own game to favor Wigfrid. Of those, the most unacceptable was Mushy Cake. It's their game, and they make the rules and the exceptions.

I am not a noob and I know Wigfrid only eats meat and goodies. Most importantly this is a beta, the key question is why Pearl's teas are not goodies. Why every character can experience new content except Wigfrid. Is this intended or the developers simply forgot?

Theoretically speaking, drinking tea merely means drinking the water inside and not eating anything that looks like vegetables

It is completely reasonable for Wigfrid to accept drinking it, and it is also inappropriate to exclude a character from such important content.

because that is her downside? wurt couldnt have any of the stuff from the lureplant update and it was fine. not all content is for all players. you should try play another character during the beta if you want to try this part out.

Wigfrid players don't accept downsides and always want to find a way to neutralize them. And Wigfrid is the second character I've played the most, but I accepted the negative side in the face of such a strong positive side.

 

Since DS Wigfrid has had downsides with drinks, including a very potent one.

It seems that someone here are very unpleasant with Mr DiogoW's Meated Nettles, considering this great work as "bending the rules" and "neutralization".

Anyone who doesn't consider themselves a noob knows perfectly well that this is intentional and consistent with the character since the DS solo game. If the devs choose to remove Wigfrid's downsides so she's just a Wolfgang in a dress, that's a different story.

Ok, I quit, I give up. The time you spent on playing Wigfrid only leads you to this kind of conclusion. I am just, speechless. I guess DST would soon become a smooth and perfect game as long as developer keep adding endgame items.

I have this old (inactive) world made with Wigfrid even before her rework. I have thousands of hours with the character. I love her. Knowing the character so well, I would never come here and say I don't know it was intentional. I could even question the downside itself, but aware that this is an old characteristic of the character. That's all I have to say.

The quotes indicate that she is not against the tea so. Compared to other dishes where she strictly says its not fitting for her character or outright says no. think it might just be an oversight honestly
To question wether she would drink it because its not "meat" is kind of weird cause its not even food in the first place, in fact, its not even a dish. Its an entirely new mechanic that settles around drinks to boost up your stats aside from hunger. Its in the lategame too, its not smth that'll mess up the downside personally, and it also ruins the effort and reward for giving pearl a new place which kinda just sours the whole thing because you chose Wigfrid specifically.

Thats because it was needed basically.

Lush season was unfun as Wigfrid in hamlet since the only counter to sneezing was wearing a gas mask all the time. These teas are not nessisary.

Well, it's not that Wigfrid refuses to eat vegetables so much as she refuses to eat anything but meat (except for Goodies). She seems to make an exception for candies and dessert dishes, and tea isn't either of those.

With how late in the game tea is (right before WARBOT if I recall correctly), I don't think Wigfrid players are missing out on much.

How about Jerky tea! Just like the other tea ingredients you have to use drying racks to get dry ingredients, this one being meat. Then you can craft Jerky Tea with well Jerky, Monster Jerky tea with Monster Jerky and even Fishy Tea with Fish Jerky.

Very silly and very gross but Wigfrid is the type to scarf it down.

people forget that irl people drink tea when eating greasy meaty food . liking meat and despise vegs doesnt mean u automatically hate taste of tea..

unfortunate. Her original quotes were better. Calling Pearl a Sea-witch because her teas were mentioned to be elixirs which was far more interesting and gives it a different idea than just "me no likey". it's kind of silly to me just because she eats meat and only meat doesn't mean she can't like a drink.

She should call them forbidden sea elixirs or something.

Just give Wigfrid a mixer where she can mix tea with meat resulting in meaty tea (or "meatea").
