This whole lunar theme is being dragged out in an extremely exaggerated way, how long have we been with this lunar thing? 5-6 years? even more? Aren't you a little bored already?

I feel like Don't Starve Together is stuck and little by little I feel like it's sinking.
Don't you think that the game could use a complete facelift with new themes and mechanics? I don't know if it's even a matter of lore or if Klei simply doesn't know what to do with the game.
I don't know, what about something completely new like a portal that takes us back in time to the era of ancient civilization? Put in prehistoric things, dinosaurs or something like that.
I think I would love to see some tyrannosaurus type boss.
Or maybe travel to an alien world with other types of mechanics.
Or why not travel to the deep sea? submerged ruins, underwater creatures, something Cthulu type perhaps?
I think it's time to completely change and revitalize the game, because I feel like it's slowly losing interest, I love Dont Starve and seeing how it's gotten totally stuck is painful :(

what do you think? Do you like it just the way it is? Do you think it's time to end this now?

Forgive my more than likely bad English, since it is not my native language.
Thanks for reading and see you in the constant!!

The lunar/shadow "endgame" content hasn't been fun when it first released and it's not any more fun now. (For me at least)

And I don't understand why Klei decided to starve (no pun intended) the game of general content for this endgame content that requires hours of gameplay just to get a lick of.

Caves still feel empty, there's still useless biomes in the overworld, skill trees... But no, end game that takes hours to get to is clearly the priority.

They also announced they'd delay skill trees until next year... I guess because they want to spend more time on lunar/shadow content.

Meanwhile.. I just want Shipwrecked & Hamlet DLC compatibility for DST.

The whole “Rift Content” had tremendous potential to actually be great- Like the freaking “Starfall Event” that happens in Sonic Frontiers where the sky rains and random enemy mobs can spawn in the fully open world you can explore

But THAT is NOT what DST Rifts are, DST Rifts are boring…

And honestly at this point? I wish they’d just get discontinued and Klei would shift focus to porting SW & HAM into DST.

I disagree, to an extent. While the endgame is certainly a focus, they haven't completely neglected the early game to the point where nothing gets added to the early game that's impactful. Quite a few pre rift items and especially tweaks to content from QoL updates have focused heavily on the pre rift arc. I would say it's in sufficient quantity that you don't feel "robbed" if you don't make it to the rift sections. I've got several friends who barely have played into the rifts and still come back pretty frequently to mess with all the pre rift additions they added to the game (Echos in particular was a very good update for that!)

I myself haven't been playing as much, but I don't really blame that on the game itself, it's just moreso that I've been taking interests in other games/topics as of late (As well as the fact the holiday season is approaching, and that's always a pretty busy part of the year...). I think it's perfectly fine to have periods where you play something else other than DST for awhile!

I agree heavily the game has been dragged out for long enough. I think people tend to no be so critical due to Klei being an Indie team and I do appreciate what Klei does but sometimes they just make some strange decisions like adding stuff that wasn't really needed. I don't mind the wait but Klei should have just buffed or reworked some of the characters slightly instead of adding skill trees.

I feel the same way, my friend. The game feels like it’s drifting a bit. There’s nothing that really hooks us anymore. Every year it seems like they’re going to reinvent things, but we always end up in the same place.

Well, dinosaurs and separate dimensions even sound like a dont starve..It's unlikely.

As for the Lunar and Shadow rifts Arch, KLEI said that after the last update that completes the shadow rifts and the entire arc, they plan to start creating content for a early and midgame.
