BezKa Posted October 29, 2025 Share Posted October 29, 2025 I wanted to buy a couple of Abigail plushies, but the price for delivery is higher than the plush itself- I'll likely end up buying anyway, since I wanted a couple of other items from the Klei store anyway, but it'd be nice to know if there's any updates or info on whether the shipping cost will change anytime soon. I know it's not really up to Klei, and some confirmation "We can't do anything about it" would be appreciated as well. With our warehouse located in the USA, unfortunately this is the costs of sending a commercial package to Poland in 2025. We make absolutely no money on shipping and in fact often are under charging. Short of opening a EU based warehouse and stocking it with new inventory, which is not realistic for us to do at this time, we have not been able to find a better solution for certain regions with high shipping fees unfortunately. I'm glad you're talking about the shipping situation. My question on this matter is, why did Klei stop cooperation with APC Postal Logistics? I did the bulk of my purchases from Klei shop in 2024 when APC was the shipping company and I've had great experience, very cheap shipping with the economy option (below $15 for 1 item, below $30 for 6 items and tax/duty coverage). The only downside was it would take them about 2 weeks to deliver the package after receiving it, which would make the final waiting time since initial order about 4 weeks or 1 month (but to be fair, compared to some of your other collaborations, this is light speed pace). This FedEx situation will create a black stain on Klei Shop's history, $40+ shipping even with the cheaper option and while buying 1 item and no tax/duty coverage, which can easily add additional $35 to the expenses or more, depending on what you're buying, making any purchase makes buyers hemorrhage money with these prices and services (and the baking molds are more hopeless, their shipping costs go above $60 in my region bare minimum). We were hopeful they would work out and seemed really great when we first used them. After a few years of using them, we decide to part ways because unfortunately the prices they were quoting stopped being accurate. What was happening was they were offering great pricing on our store front, and then later sending us a bill for "Adjusted Shipping Rates" because what they charged for shipping, it turns out they could not actually ship the items at those prices. When they shipped the item it actually cost a lot more, and they would pass that difference on to us as "An Adjustment" in our billing. So in the end, we were paying the difference on our end, and had no way of predicting accurately what real shipping was for any given order to many regions. This was not sustainable or realistic for us to do, especially if we're running a large sale etc. We'll continue to look for other shipping partners but the reality for a shop of our size, is short of opening warehouses in other regions that we control, which we're not able to do at this time, I have not found a partner that can provide better rates and with fedex lost package claims dropped to almost 0%, when previously there was a noticeable amount of failed deliveries and it's our policy to fully reimburse or re-ship as that's not the customers fault at all. Hope that helps explain the situation.
