Mr.Oshiro
As shown in the figure. There are multiple red cracks in a small area, but the map is too sparse. The Fumarole turf on the map should be reduced. The color of the stone area should be darker to make the red part more prominent. The current turf appears to have a layer of gray filter, which gives a somewhat "unreal" feeling. Also, if possible, can you add flickering effects to the red cracks? Make them look 'flowing', I think this will create a better visual effect. Captain_Rage
Maybe the dominant solid colors are a design choice since any details will be hard to spot due to the teeming miasma. 2 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/168560-fumarole-turf-needs-some-minor-adjustments/#findComment-1841262 Share on other sites
gaymime
so ask blankets have a naturally dulling flattening attribute to them, it actually looks -correct- for a place with limited wind to look like that, at least, to me it does. i think the cracks could be brighter for people with colour-blindness(it sure seems like they'd struggle here) but it does look fine to me from a realism perspective Spoiler 2 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/168560-fumarole-turf-needs-some-minor-adjustments/#findComment-1841283 Share on other sites

Design selection is one thing, the main problem is that the ground looks too rudimentary. I am curious about how much time they spent on drawing the turf. No matter how large the stone area is, their shadow lengths are almost the same. Normally, this should be proportional. The colors of the ground and Fumarole look a bit out of sync, unlike the fusion of Rabbit Hole and Savanna. So I want the turf to be as dark as Fumarole and have more crevice textures. 44 minutes ago, gaymime said: it actually looks -correct- for a place with limited wind to look like that, at least, to me it does. If it is similar to the picture you posted, it is indeed good, but I think this turf looks more like artificially polished stones... They should at least improve the quality. Compared to SW Volcano turf: Indeed, Fumarole biome needs its own characteristics, but details should not be lacking. I will post the comparison chart above. Uedo
They've just made the turf tileable, the problem is that the pattern of tileability is obvious so it's a bit distracting.
