i can confirm, coop local crashes the game. 
No ps4 save import for me. Just trying to create a survival mode with my wife. Impossible. 
 

it worked one time for me. We played 20 days in the survival mode and save. 
when we try to reload now, it crashes. 
 

the game is unplayable at this moment for offline players and coop players

I am having the same problems mentioned above: local co-op, both offline and online, always crashes after a few hours of play. At first, I have imported the PS4 save files, and they didn't load when playing in the PS5 version, crashing every time  a previous save file was selected to load. When I started a fresh save file on the PS5 version it worked, but after I've played and turned off the console, the next day I went back to play it again, and it didn't load and crashed. So I went back to the PS4 version to continue playing, because it is impossible to play local coop in this new update.

Hope we get a fix soon.

Having the exact same issue now and then. The temporary solution was to play in the PS4 version again. And that's a bummer.

Most common i test The  Error,  BUG, Save, loading time.

1. Save Data CONSOLE UPGRADE VERSION DST are corrup. 

2. Save Data import don't lets to joing a host game.

ERROR CE-108255-1

3. AUTO SAVE  in menu AFTER you go OUT of lobby of any online gameplay don't  auto save don't show -> like ps4 version Dst. 

4. if I DELETE the console "Save Data STORAGE " only let's me joing online the time I get open the Apps. 

after I close the apps I get Data corrupted and don't let's me joing or play Dst.the upgrade version Ps5.

First of all: Thank you Klei for investing time on the PS5 version, it was a pleasant surprise!

However, unfortunately, it is unplayable for me and my wife(for now at least).

Here is why:

1. There is no option to make the inventory menu display bigger, only the left side bar. I had a hard time with it
2. Idk what I did, but after messing with menu size, a transparent dark little retangle bar appeared on the bottom left of the screen (on both sides of the local co-op), with no information at all, just a bar, which is annoying
3. I can't play local co-op with my wife (both offline and online), because the game FPS(and/or lag? I can't say which one is causing it) is somewhat terrible and end's up crashing the game eventually
4. The vibration feature and other stuff related to PS5 are awesome. However, the tiny vibration when you are going through the menu items freaks me out, can we have an option to remove this? Just this one, the in-game features are very good

In the end I had to go back to my PS4 version, which I never had any issues in the past years.
Maybe I need to play it solo to give you guys a proper review, but... I normally don't have enough free time to play it solo.

From what I see theres loads of crashes and bug reports coming in which is a good thing but spare a sec to describe what You were doing when the crash occurred .

Theres a box to type in before You submit the report .

It will help with pin pointing the issue hopefully .

 does anyone else get the language mismatch message everytime they join a server?  I cant seem to figure out why even when I have it set in English while picking an English server.

I can't play ps4 import world - Host game online / offline. 

If I close apps DST upgrade version Ps5 I can't  play anymore get loading inventory. 

Only I can play if I DELETE SAVE DATA STORAGE PS5 DST  the first time let me join online during the time apps is open. After I close the apps DON'T WORK any more.

Unfortunately nothing i tried worked for my World .

There are some Worlds that seem to work after importing but even changing the World settings to mitigate them didnt work .

Im in the same boat as most of Us .

We got to give it time to get ironed out .

As per stated above I can too send My World files if needed .

Ill put all the issues I encouraged and heard about in in one post for convenience . PS5 Version .

PS4 Imported Worlds crasing on startup .

Pearl crashing the World after upgrading Her house one time . (Being near Her House some say)

Crab king fight crashing .

As a host loosing shard connection going in and out of caves . (Not a crash , loading then just loosing connection) .

Heard about Celestial Altars bugging out . We had similar issue on public if i recall correctly .

Hosted a World up to 70 plus days without any major issues . Played split screen up to 20 plus days . Resumed both of those with no issue .

Player data on split screen wasn't saving but imo it was only skin wise . The skins / belongings were wiped to default on split screen as well after joining game on My own . 

As Spartan and Shmebulock stated in bug reports it seems the Data imported from PS4 gets corrupted somehow but the reason for it reminds unknown after playing around with World settings .

On PS4 Version before importing and on PS5 Version after importing .

Feel free to add whatever You encountered .

An update after todays bug fix patch .

My long-term World is loading without problems on PS5 version so try Yours .

Ill report if Ill encounter any crashes .

After the update, split-screen started working again, but my PS5 can't handle it properly and starts lagging.

It's unplayable, 10-15 fps feels like it's happening, and there's a noticeable lag after pressing buttons. I even tried lowering the resolution to 720p in the console settings – the fps spikes became more frequent, but it's unplayable for two players.

It lags more in my base game; outside of it, the game runs easier, but not much.

Maybe I should adjust the graphics settings in the game: beauty, performance? Or maybe I should choose 30 fps.

No fix yet for my ps5 version. Trying to join or host a server just keeps me in an endless connecting loop

What worked for my to bypass the inventory stuck loop was restoring the licences and restarting the PS .

DON'T WORK PROPERLY LOGIN UPDATING INVENTORY WHEN RE-OPEN APPS AGAIN TO PLAY. 

I test many way and don't work.

This isn't the first time that instead of rolling back 1 day, it rolls back 10 or more, and an error appears saving data

Just posting it here if You missed it in Bug Tracker .

The issue with lost days and data not saving is related to ingame rolling back system .

Its advised to not use it atm and just leave the game and use rollback option from host game menu .

10 day rollback is wild if unexpected. I wouldn't mind having that as option for emergencies though.

Just tested and forced a lost of connection between the shards by going in and out of caves .

Lost four days of progress even when the game was auto saving each day .

It seems completely random .

So You might look out for that until its fixed .

Just happened to me yesterday. Lost probably 8 days. I'll just be done playing until that gets fixed. Losing an entire play session feels bad.
